@bobpockrass so how does points work? He start from where he left off? Or does he accumulate whatever points #9 has gotten in his absence? Also anyway he can point in playoffs or would he have to win

Right now, Elliott -- who had 49 pts in the first two races -- is 34th, 134 points out of 16th, the current playoff cutoff & likely won't be cutoff by time the playoffs start. If he averaged 35 pts a race, he would possibly be around 16th. So his best path to playoffs is to win.

I disagree. While I wouldn't mind seeing it at a real dirt track with less banking. I think it puts on a good race. Watching those guys work the multiple lines (which we don't get at normal Bristol anymore) and the guys able to work that thin cushion in the final stage was great racing. I definitely would appreciate if they would move it off Easter weekend though. I had to DVR it coming back from seeing family, but very much enjoyed watching what those guys could do with such a heavy car on a slick track.

Fair enough.

I just choose to stay off of that cesspool. I browse certain people on there but I don't post anything of my own.

Some notes from Bob P

Bob Pockrass

Josh Berry will be on standby for Chase Elliott this weekend in case Elliott has any issues Saturday or Sunday in his first race weekend back.

Chase Elliott says he has a few screws by top of tibia near the knee. He said it could have been a lot worse. No ACL nor any other tears. No additional surgeries planned.

Chase Elliott said he doesn't have a cool story to tell about the accident. He said he uses snowboarding as a training tool and it was just a "perfect storm" and unfortunate accident.

Chase Elliott said he wouldn't race this weekend if he didn't feel he could do it. Said the integrity of the bone is to where he is not going to hurt it. It is just about being comfortable enough with range of motion to be able to race. Had a good couple of days in the sim.
