Missed the race this weekend and didn’t miss it at all. Missing the next 2 weeks for travel.

Even with the 100 pt penalty, did anyone here think any of the Hendricks teams would miss the playoffs? I didn't.
I remember about 10-15 years ago when Jimmy and Chad got popped for funky fenders at Sonoma. At the time I called into Moody"s show on SiriusXm saying that any penalties in the regular season needed to get carried over to the playoffs or they weren't really a penalty. I got shut down, but still firmly believe it. If you want to make a penalty hurt, make it REALLY effect a team's chance of winning it all.
And the #9 is getting the waiver. Everyone knows it.

Of course he’ll get the waiver. But the points are very important for playoffs too. The reg season poikts winnner gets extra points for playoffs. So getting them back allows 24 or 48 to possibly win extra playoff points if finish in first.
Then the playoff points being reinststed is huge as well since they get them back and would start each playoff with them. Will allow them to go further. Because playoffs are only 3 race segments those are huge for advancing to next one. Many times the cutoff to advance is very close.

It was a chickenshit penalty anyway. Single-source part that didn't fit, but you somehow have to make it fit.
Plus, it happened in practice. Not qualifying, not in a race, but in PRACTICE.

Josh Williams to remain playoff eligible after serving his one-race suspension. He needed a waiver from the requirement that a driver has to attempt to qualify for every race to remain playoff eligible.
