Junior Nation. I was one of them but I was embarrassed for my fanbase that day.
Hell, I still have both my Bud and Amp Jackets but I got rid of the T-Shirts a long time.

I'm rather impressed Blaney got a top-10 finish after his day.
He got clipped into the wall by Reddick in the first wreck, then blew a tire after his crew managed to get him back out there and was down at least a couple of laps, then he slammed head-to-head into Larson on the final wreck.

Have found myself becoming more of a fan of his the last couple of years. He reminds me of Senior

They were saying this back in 2009.

Meh. Maybe in driving style(which has always been true) he has always been the best pure driver on the circuit but his attitude sucked donkey balls back then.
He has a lot of Tim Richmond (RIP) in him too in that his car control is sick.

Yeah Jeff won and that made the fans crazier. Not understanding that Jr.’s daddy and Gordon actually had a very good relationship and if I’m not mistaken actually did a business deal together.
Have you ever heard of the late Robin Miller? Covered Indy Car racing mostly?
There’s a great podcast called Dinner with Racers, if you can find it I recommend it. Two guys, one a racing PR guy and the other is a sports car racer, interview famous racing folks (they’ve done TONS of NASCAR folks) and it’s definitely for adults LOL. For instance, the Kyle Petty one, Kyle talked about him, Earnhardt Sr., Ricky Rudd and Tim Richmond taking a limousine to the Gold Club in Atlanta and getting kicked out of the place; and about him and Richmond going to the movies to see Weird Science the night before a Dover race, and Richmond pointing to Kelly LeBrock on the screen and saying “I’m gonna frick that girl” and then Richmond sending Kyle photos from Hollywood later.
Anyway, Robin Miller told of breaking the story that Brian France was going to become NASCAR president. His said his reaction when he heard that was “Brian France? The village idiot?” To add to it, after he broke the story, NASCAR had to mobilize and call an emergency press conference to announce it because they had not even told Mike Helton yet that he was fired.

Yunick said Bill France Jr. couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel.
Imagine what he would have said about Brain France.

I have a copy of Smokey’s autobiography that he wrote by himself (misspellings were left in) while he was dying and had zero fricks to give and settled all accounts. What he said about the Frances in that book IMO is the reason he’ll never be in NASCAR’s Hall of Fame.

Why are you tripping over Ricky Stenhouse winning a race in 2017? I made a clear statement. And you ask a question and come up with some bull shite about me not answering it.
You're full of shite too. I asked if it was the 400 that he had won previously. You could have simply said yes, but you wanted to be a troll.

Yep. The France family controls everything with Nascar.
Have the book as well.
Would have loved to have been there when he threw the hammer at Jr, and creased the fender of his car, after kicking Yunick out with his Chevelle after telling him he could run two weeks earlier.

I loved the line about how they needed to bury Jim Rathmann in a wetsuit because it was Smokey’s intention to piss on his grave. And some of the stories about his exploits overseas during the war were right out of Secondhand Lions.

Yeah but I was talking about the idiot Talladega fans who probably thought Gordon had taken a leak on Sr.’s grave by stealing something from his child, not you. And I apologize if I questioned your knowledge by asking if you knew who Robin was but I don’t recall ever discussing Indy racing with you. I did figure you knew about the Gold Club though.

That's the worst broadcast of any race in my 35 years of following NASCAR.
4 laps then commercial. Then when they come back it's another 5 min of some bullshite rather than showing the fricking race.

I’m not afraid to own this. I have seen five people die in racing accidents right in front of me. It was not pleasant. I would prefer that it not happen again. But if you could, with 100% metaphysical certainty, remove all risk from auto racing it would not be the same. Because for more than 50 years now, one of the attractions of motor racing to me is seeing someone go to that ragged edge between life and death and come back.
