I'm sorry, I must have missed when Formula One, IndyCar, IMSA, Can-Am, and SCCA raced at Bristol.

Race has been Green for just about an hour and already completed stage 2.

Outside of Indianapolis Motor Speedway this is possibly the most famous race track in the United States and certainly one of the most historic and storied.

I would say Daytona is more famous and well-known in the United States than Watkins Glen.

No one other than true multi-series race fans have ever heard of these.

And no one, other than true race fans have ever heard of Watkins Glen.

Daytona, Indy, Talladega are the most known. Bristol would be next tier.

Another pit road penalty for McDowell, plus the stop was slow.

Chase Elliott looks to be out of fuel! Huge playoff implications for him as this ruins his chance to win today. He will now have to win at Daytona.

This is a season to forget for Elliot.

Apparently the 9 team badly miscalculated their “reserve” fuel and thought they had two laps of fuel left.

You are crazy if you think Talladega and Bristol are more known by non-racing fans than Watkins Glen. Hell, more people know about the 1973 concert with The Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers, and The Band at Watkins Glen than know anything about Talladega or Bristol.

Gustafson might be on the chopping block.

I’d say the opposite. But no way to prove either way.

I don’t think a concert that occurred 50 years ago is the best way to judge how famous a track is compared to another track.

I don’t know if Bristol is more famous, but I don’t think there is any question that Talladega is a more famous and more well-known track in the United States than Watkins Glen. Particularly so if you were polling non-racing fans. Most people know what Talladega is from Talladega Nights, at the very least.

Good lord, for the 2nd week in row, NBC is pulling so hard for Keslowski to be in the playoffs in front of Harvick.

This race is boring. Barely any passing, at least for any positions of consequence.
