Pumped for McDowell. Daytona and Indy are pretty damn good wins to have on the resume, even if one is a road course.

Why isn’t he doing burnouts in everyone’s face like Ty yesterday?

Chase could easily win next week, but McDowell winning and then finishing 2nd was the worst case scenario for Elliott

Because he doesn’t have unlimited cars available and doesn’t want to destroy this one. He will probably use it next week at Watkins Glen.

Sorry I'm late, had to work. Listened to the race while I was working.

Congratulations to McDowell. He drove a hell of a race and he was the best car all day. Well deserved and popular win.

Dale Jr. just roasted Wrecky Spinhouse. Said he only needed to hit 3 or 4 more cars and he will have hit every international driver in the field and will have a hat trick.

Yeah he absolutely eviscerated him. That was hilarious.

I would for the top two to be Larson and Elliot going into the last 5 laps. Chaos would ensue.

This makes no sense. Mother Teresa could have won and it does not change the fact Chase needs a win to get in. If Larson had won today it would still mean Chase has to win to get in. So McDowell winning changed nothing for Chase.

The driver it hurt most was Bubba. If Chase or Suarez or another driver not in top 16 wins next week he’s out and too far behind Harvick/Kez to make up points.

Was a good race. SVG got top 10 but evened up playing field he didn’t fare as good. Give drivers rom to bang each other and drivers will use it. Chicago was single file and lined with concrete.

Seven or eight years ago HOF drivers like Mark Martin, Terry Labonte, Tony Stewart, and others were raving about his talent. Kyle Busch wins in a lot of stuff and he ran well when Eldora had the Prelude to the Dream races but what sets Larson apart is that Busch was winning those dirt late model races against other cup drivers. He wasn’t going to dirt late model crown jewel races and beating the best that dirt late models have to offer. It took Larson a handful of races in something he had never driven before to start winning against the best in the business. The thing with Larson is that he’s going out and beating the best 410 sprint car drivers, the best dirt late model drivers, the best midget drivers, the best wingless sprint drivers, he’s winning in cup, the trucks, xfinity, etc. These are not one off celebrity races. He’s regularly beating guys who specialize in one type of car on bigger tracks like Eldora or Knoxville, and smaller tracks like Fairbury and on paved superspeedways, short tracks, and road courses.

closest thing we have to a modern day AJ foyt or Parnelli Jones

So can Larson just not get a title sponser, or does Ol' man Hendrick just not need the money from that premier ad space?
