Mmkay? That makes it seem like he's only with the team until the lawyers can hammer out a severance deal.

If/when Chevy cut ties and support, why couldn’t they have just fast tracked to Toyota? I mean you can’t make that change in a week, but I’d think it would be mutually beneficial to Toyota and LMC to be running Toyota’s in the back half of the year.
I’m sure there’s some red tape, but would think Toyota could handle it (buyouts) and basically make LMC the test dummies for other Toyota’s in playoffs.
I don’t think it would be logistically possible to make a switch during the year from a parts and manufacturing standpoint. Especially not in the Next-Gen era where parts shortages have been an issue.

Not gonna lie. I’m kinda excited about the road ringers this weekend.
15 - Button
91 - SVG
67 - Kobayashi
33 - Kostecki
51 - Lally
42 - Rockenfeller
Kobayashi is a sports car ace. So is Rockenfeller. Kostecki has a nascar history and is currently the points leader in the V8s.
Dale Jr legitimately thinks a kobayashi-SVG battle for the win is possible. I’m not as sure.

I don’t think the ringers have any advantages like Chicago. Firstly, it was a new track and Nascar ever barred regulars from XFinity race to not get any track time. Ringers got an hour practice. Then you had rain and it changed everything. Nascar drivers are all about downforce and grip whereas ringers drive roads in all kinds of weather.
Everything was stacked against nascar regulars and favored ringers. That won’t be the case at Indy. Its not new and Nascar regulars have driven it way more than ringers. The restarts at Indy are a total dive bomb wreckfest and drivers use outside corner 1 cars as their brake for corner.
I think a reg wins it. Ginsberg was a great story but he maybe should have skipped this race in case he doesn’t do well which could hurt his stock. People have him in top 5 already so anything less will seem dissapointing to the fans and pundits.
Expect more carnage if same rules as last year. Restarting mid straitaway is dumb amd allows cars too much speed yet no separation in corner 1 causing massive wrecks. Need to make start just before tuen 1 or even right after. Then can see top cars “race” each other not be best dive bomber painting notches on car as trophies.

They’re considering single file restarts. I think a regular ends up winning too. But the names in it are interesting.

Single file would help but thats 40 cars long so would be a long snake. Drivers were shown up in Chicago and my guess is they don’t play as nice with SVG this time around. Plus with Chicago being all concrete lined it was more single file race. Indy has way more raceability and run off areas so drivers will take more risks and do more pushing. Its cool so many ringers though but I don’t think they win.

I tend to agree with idea that a regular will probably win the Indy Road Course. It just seems like a more traditional, fast road course like NASCAR has raced on for a long time and NASCAR drivers are used to.

The 9, 99, 16, 34, 54, 14, 48, and 2 all need a win and have been good on road courses. Those guys will not give any quarter to a ringer the next two weeks. Throw in the 45 who has had a rough summer with errors costing him potentially 3-4 wins, and I think the ringers will have a tough time finishing in the top 10 this weekend.

A look at where restart zone will be for Indy this weekend. Once drivers exit restart zone, can change lanes (don’t have to wait for start-finish).

Noah is officially done at Legacy

So apparently he was not fired as was initially reported.

Wasn't Cal Wells a big player with Toyota?

Noah quit before they fired him.

Massive crash in Heat 1 of the SRX race at Eldora. Austin Dillon’s car had some sort of mechanical issue and spilled water all over the track causing a chain reaction crash that involved 6 cars. Not sure if they have enough back up cars.
Notable guest drivers tonight: Matt Kenseth, Austin Dillon, Chase Briscoe and NHRA Funny Car Champ Ron Capps.

I guess its time for Noah to kiss Jessie Jackson's and Bubba's asses and the exile himself to the desert for a few years.
Maybe then his family can be proud of him.
For frick's sake...

Hard to believe next week is already the final race. I would enjoy another month of SRX.

Austin Dillon, Chase Briscoe and Tony Kanaan will miss the main event after the earlier crash in Heat 1.
