He was a pretty good player for them.

That may be, but you cannot deny that CHS has now escaped 3 losses, due to favorable calls. I’d rather them win w/o that help

Zachary received more favorable calls in the 2021 WM games than Catholic did in all 3 games combined.

Yap, that’s exactly what I thought I saw in the other video. Great angle. That’s a catch. I’d never expect a high school ref to get that right, to be fair
I definitely think it was a catch but I also get why the ref called it incomplete live seeing the ball moving around. I think it was a missed call but w/o assistance of replay that would’ve been a hard call to make.

Man, Zachary whipped your arse so bad 3 years ago you can’t quit talking about it.

Not replying specifically to this post but comments in general.. but...
here's the real thing having officiated games that have replay...
1. all of these videos that are shown from HS games (especially) NEVER show the same angle, elevation and perspective view of the covering official.
now for part 2 and 3 - going off seeing nearly every replay call from the LA hs games that have replay.
2. Had that call been complete and challenged none of the video presented would have been enough to overturn the call.
3. Had that call been incomplete and challenged none of the video presented would have been enough to overturn the call.
There are 160 ish plays in nearly every game now adays, players don't get 160 perfect, coaches don't and neither do officials and fans most certainly don't.
Those of you that think the LHSAA, LHSOA or officials ever want either team A or B to win are blindly and blissfully either ignorant or misguided. I have never been at a game or worked a game with another official that EVER cared or much less wanted either team to win.
Considering officials start working and preparing for games 2-3 weeks before spring games, then spend a week reviewing those. 2-3 hours a week.
then crank back up with weekly meetings in july(two midweek meetings and a saturday am field work meeting and much hudl watching). 4-6 hours a week.
Now once scrimmages start especially if one is a white hat it's probably 6-10 hours a week on meeting with association, crew meetings, hudl review, paper work and planning. Nobody sinister enough to "cheat" for a team is gonna go through all that - ONLY people that love the game.
FWIW ya'll have never thrown me or my crew under the bus on here except for the time ya'll had the rule for HS as it applied to that play so wrong even the coaches for both teams were texting me about the post
.
If you think you can do better, by all means step up, but most people get over whelmed when they realize how many things they have to look at on each play and that they have to count players, read formations and keep sidelines clear EVERY play before the ball is even snapped.
Complain all you want but officiating is much better than it was when I first got involved with HS football - just think if the playoff games had 4 person crews like when I was a ball boy or player.

Question… if we can go back to that, why are we crying about an officials shortage?
I’d rather have that than Thursday night games

And if you want to do this, the game should have been 21-12 at the moment because the refs gave Rummel a 2 pt conversion where the guy caught the ball 2 yards out of bounds

CHS escaped a loss by beating John Ehret 45-9?
Anyone watching that 4th quarter yesterday could see Catholic was the better team. The call in the end zone didn’t end the game or the drive. Rummel still had the ball after that play. The QB airmailed a pass on 4th.
Then on CHS’ next possession it was 3rd and 11 and Catholic converted before scoring again.
Rummel’s QB was 5-14 for 92 yards and a pick in the 4th quarter.
Sometimes bad calls happen. Better teams overcome them. Catholic had penalties called against them that took points off the board (Friday) and extended Rummel drives. Rummel was awarded a 2pt conversion on a catch made clearly out of bounds.
Catholic also converted two 4th downs on their first drive of the 4th quarter to take a lead. Rummel couldn’t keep up. This isn’t about the refs.

With today's offenses and speed of the game ain't nobody rolling out there with 4 except in VERY rare circumstances and the things that 4 person crews can't possible cover see or even mechanically get in position for OMG - you think ya'll complain now

Catholic got a break.. Had that game finished Friday night, Rummel would've won. CHS's defense was worn down and had their backs against the wall..
Rummel had to drive back to Metairie then back to BR... The CHS players just had to go home..
Catholic should be thanking their lucky stars for that delay.

That call deflated Rummel, had that been called complete and a TD, at 21-21, no telling what the outcome would've been.

There's a 2 pt conversion in HS football right?

TD makes it 21-18
Going for 2 wouldn’t have made any sense there, and even so that still makes it 21-20
