Otmar has really lost a lot of ground since the pre-Stroll Force India days. Alpine seems like a shite company to work for as well. Always changing direction or half committed at times.

I understand that tweet to say "Sprints suck arse, we will cancel the sprint to get the important shite done if needed. frick sprints."
But maybe I'm interpreting wrong.

I hope they prioritize quali over the sprint bullshite.

God has weighed in as not liking sprints. He shall smite those with terrible weather if they try them again.

When I first saw it, I thought it was referring to any F2 sessions, but yeah, maybe they mean the sprint. The drivers have encouraged FIA to make changes (or cancel the GP) this weekend if it isn't safe...so this would line up with that.

I’m all for this besides Austin this year. Don’t think I’m prepared for a rainy weekend with a 2 year old in tow

Alpine let their Sporting Director go as well. Cleaning some house.

Why don't you guys life the Sprint race?
I think actual racing is way better than just practice laps.
I really don't understand the hate.

General admission. He's a good kid and real tolerant of us bringing him everywhere we go.

They serve no other purpose other than to get additional butts in seats/eyeballs on the TV, which does seem to work because addicts like myself will still watch, while hating the sprints. Truth is, I watch all the practice sessions anyway. Liberty seem to mistake my viewership as liking the sprints, I'm part of the problem. I hate the sprints.
They make some Grand Prix weekends more valuable than others to the teams, kind of like when they wanted Abu Dhabi to be worth double points as the season finale. Dumb. Either do sprints at every GP, or don't do them at all. I'd lean heavy to just not doing them at all.
I think I hate the new format more than I hated the old sprint format. Currently the sprint has no effect on Sunday's grid, so there's really not much incentive for hard racing say if a drive ends up further down than they should be in sprint quali.
Personally, I've always enjoyed the build up to a Grand Prix weekend. I enjoy watching clips from Thursday's press conferences, watching Weekend Warmup, sneak peaks at any upgrades, Friday we get to speculate over practice sessions, Saturday we get quali, Sunday we peak with a race. Sprint weekends seem too ADHD. Too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing, leave it alone.
And yet, here I am, about to turn on sprint quali at the office. I'm my own worst enemy.

Not to mention parc ferme after one practice session, which takes a lot of the fun out of the main race due to us having already seen everyone’s hand in the sprint race.

More racing is good, I agree with that. I like seeing the cars be competitive.
A few things I don't like, probably more:
Sprint race weekends limit development. If you want other teams to catch up they need time to develop and test.
The cars are in parc ferme as soon as the first quali starts, so there are no actual improvements being made between sessions.
Sprints are for points. But different points. So upper mid field teams stand a better chance of extending their pts advantage. The jeopardy far outweighs any gains.
No strategy in sprint races.
If you are outside the Top 6 you might as well come in the pits.
The racing feels forced and reminds me of competition cautions. Force all the cars together and hope something exciting happens.
Finally, it takes up too much of my weekend.
