Mercedes might be further from #F1's frontrunners than it was last year, according to Hamilton, who reckons his team is on the "wrong track". "We're a long way off. We kind of knew that a little bit in the test, but it's a big gap."

May need to adjust my pick as merc for #2.

I'm a very new F1 fan, but I think I would be content for the rest of my life if I could get F-bombed by Guenther Steiner.

Yikes. Sounds like it might just be similar to last year with them. By the time they get things in order the top 2 teams might be out of sight.

I feel like Bahrain is not a good representative track to make confident predictions. Plus, upgrades are coming.

Hamilton is always a drama queen when it comes to their performance.

Based on FP2 results

Not sure if we want to reward points the same way F1 does or the 10-1 and 20-1 way this is currently setup. Easy to change.

McLaren, Mercedes and Alpine had similar lap times in their race simulations.

McLaren has taken a step forward since testing, whilst Mercedes continues to battle issues.

I am enjoying the Merc doom scrolling this afternoon

I like this simple scoring system of 20-1 for the drivers. I would like to suggest for that the team score, make it 20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2. The constructor championship is the sum of the two drivers, so two points difference per team in our system feels like it's giving it a similar weight as the driver scores, and kinda sorta of makes sense to me.

Make sure your picks are right.
I had Ferrari above Mercedes. Honestly contemplating moving Mercedes below Aston Martin at this point, but Stroll exists.

Definitely going to revise my drivers a bit.

Allows us to have a grand champion as well because one isn't heavier weighed compared to the other.
