I don’t think its the racing at Monaco as much as its part of the triple header that day. Monaco, Indy 500 and Charlotte 600. It kicks off a full day of racing and we’re all giddy. But the race itself sucks but I like looking at the scenery and yachts.

So from a fan's standpoint, what are the most exciting, must-see tracks/races in F1, and why?
Compare it to the average NASCAR fan. They wouldn't dare miss Dega or Daytona, and I bet many would say the same about Darlington.

Monaco (although the racing is bad, the history and $$$ make it a spectacle)
Spa
Monza
Silverstone
Interlagos
Suzuka
That’s your equivalent to the Talladega, Daytona, Bristol, Darlington, Martinsville of NASCAR

^^^^ What he said. Add Montreal. Apparently it's fantastic.

So Spa is the fastest, Monza has the most history, Silverstone is a short track, Interlagos is too tricky to "tame," and Suzuka is an oddly-shaped track that requires precision as well?

I wasn’t directly comparing to the respective nascar tracks, just giving a top 5 or so

Gotcha.
I'm less than 1 year into F1 fandom and still trying to figure it out. Enjoying the heck out of it tho.

Looks like a possible wet race in Miami. I wonder how that will go. I don’t really like a full wet race. I love a wet/dry or dry/wet race, especially when different strategies with the tires are used.

There's always a chance of rain in Miami in general, I feel like.

I have been watching F1 at Monaco since Niki Lauda won it. That was about 50 years ago. I have seen every race that was broadcasted in the US since then. I want to like it; history, stars, yachts, opulence, pomp and circumstance. Almost with out exception less Olivier Panis, Monaco is a TERRIBLE race. Just look at the qualifying lineup in a few weeks and there is your finish...except for Ferrari who will grenade an engine or arse-up a pit stop and finish way down. It's time the old gal gets put out of her misery, IMO.

I enjoy Monaco for its technical demands, but shite, that track was outdated by the time F1 became a show in 1950.

Sarg wins. That's one of the coolest racing helmets I've ever seen.
Ocon not far behind.
