Alex Bowman is out at Talladega for concussion symptoms.
Noah will drive the 48 this weekend.
NASCAR is going to have to do something about the car in the offseason. That's two drivers now out for concussions.

And Bowman's wreck was pretty mild. And against a safer barrier. No way should he have gotten a concussion from that.

Indeed. I cant imagine the injuries we'd have in the 90's pre-HANS.

Things are popping off on Twitter tonight regarding the nextgen car. Harvick just tweeted (in response to stuff about the Bowman concussion) about how, when the nextgen car was introduced to the drivers, Hamlin pleaded that the car was too stiff but NASCAR would not listen.

I rest my case. Tires are blowing because nastycar limited shock travel so once metal meets metal all the load goes to tire. Diffuser is too high so teams have to run tires lower to make work. So many fires this year. Broken toe links. New cars are crap. Rushed out before safety was vetted.
How many injuries this year? Bush and Bowman for starters. Plenty of close calls.
Either need better tires to handle extra loads or fix car to take more stress off tires. And tires still have issues separate from car issues.

Scary wreck. He came by us in the top 10 and engine grenaded. Looked like he jumped out while it was still moving on the inside wall . Hope he can recover.
