It just makes Red Bull just the most unlikable team on the grid. I don’t hate Max but I find him often to be unlikable. And I think that’s because the culture at Red Bull is unlikable.
Perez has somehow escaped that attitude but everyone else at Red Bull just has the biggest inferiority complex they’re annoying

sorry but that response was calm and reasoned and a perfect example of who he really is.
I meant it more as he could have just ignored the order and later said he didn't want to risk more spots.

I get all that. But Max is a competitive freak. He might have felt he had something to prove after getting the penalty. THat's all I'm saying. Based on the circumstances of today's race, Checo shouldn't need GP to be asking Max for help.
You think Phil would have ever asked MJ to pass so one of his teammates can come in 2nd?

If I was the team of principal of Red Bull, I’d tear Verstappen a new one.
And all Max has to say "What? Are you going to fire me?"
He knows he's untouchable.
btw-Ferrari didn't give Chuck the spot either.

No, it quite literally doesn’t.

its why he's the best driver in F1 right now.
Him having the undisputed best car in the field combined with an extremely competent support group around him is why he’s the best driver in F1 right now.

That's the difference between you and Max. Every place matters, its why he's the best driver in F1 right now.
He’s the best driver because he has the best car. Simple as that.
Talent wise he probably is the best but driver talent is only marginal to car design

Yeah, literally do this kind of stuff. Sub in scrubs in the final game of the year once the game is decided.
It was 6th place, not a win.

He's a dickhead, but unlike hamilton, he never tries to act like he's not.

To Max it does

Maybe for you.
I put Merc and Toto in that position.

This doesn't really change my opinion on Max or RBR. I'm sure for some it will. Max has been unapologetic his entire career, right or wrong.

That comparison doesn’t even make any sense. Come in 2nd in what?
If you want a Jordan analogy talk aboutJohn Paxton and Steve Kerr

Perez has the same car. Max passed him after three pit stops and a nose change.
I'm no Max nut hugger by any means, but he is the best driver on the grid.

F1 has been like this for generations and I love to see it.

As they pointed out on the broadcast, giving up a podium and giving up 6th place are not the same thing
