Yes, both moved up into 7 & 8

I'm torn. On one hand, I'm happy it's a sprint weekend so Haas has two real opportunities for points. On the other, I kinda wish it wasn't so they couldn't frick it all up tomorrow.

George summoned to the stewards for leaving his car and crossing the track.

Like the commentators said, Russell will probably get a fine for it and he will move on. Mercedes has bigger problems to deal with tonight. I hope both he and Hamilton order some great takeout dinner for the boys in the garage who will be burning the midnight oil getting those cars fixed.

That's fricked up solution if so. They also deleted his other time in Q2.

Differing opinions out there on whether the deletion of the Q2 time means he starts from 13th. Guess we will see when the final grid comes out.

FIA document can't spell that out haha.

He should be starting 13th but apparently since he was allowed through to Q3 he gets tenth. That is what is being assumed from what I have read anyway as FIA didn't specify his starting spot in the findings.

The wording in the 5th paragraph makes it seem like the stewards don't care that he was in Q3.

quote:

...The stewards accept this point. However, in assessing a penalty after a session this is no different than any other situation.

Hopefully someone will ask FIA to clarify.

Haas going to fall back through thw field again. Their race pace is just garbage.

That Ferrari engine seems to be pretty legit though.

Watch this...

Congrats F1/FIA, because this is one of your stupid sprint weekends your penalty has the potential to be 100% useless trash when Perez makes up places during the sprint and still starts in the top 5. This is what happens with sprints, because they aren't at every race then actions like this carry less weight on a sprint weekend and demonstrate an inconsistency.

They put more downforce on the car for Q. Lost 4kph at the speed trap from FP1.

Not worried about race pace.

Six next year. I like the sprints. I think they need to be tweaked but I enjoy them.
