You have to figure RBR would have to hire all the Honda employees or begin to replace them to make that full transition.
Not that it's not do'able I don't know that Honda engineer culture and if they would leave a company like Honda for Redbull.

I will add, these conversations on engine manufacturers are a part of the fabric of F1, yet this is basically a non-issue in the junior categories.
That is why I enjoy F2 so much: driver talent is the biggest factor in winning. F2 has much more wheel to wheel racing as well.
I love F1, but it has a long way to go to make races more competitive on a regular basis. Certain circuits need to go.

F2 suffers from the same problem of big teams having better programs and pay drivers buying those seats. Mazepin finished 3rd and probably could have bought a title if he needed to.

Hard not to argue how top heavy F1 is and I also agree, as a fairly new fan, that certian circuits need to be retired.
With that said....
As a new fan I understand the long standing tradition that's sport enthusiasts love.
Your post is at the heart of why I hoped we would see a move from 4 power unit manufacturing teams to 6 or even more!

Pretty sure Gene Haas was on the American Airline flight today to Charlotte. Cheap arse.

He actually won a F2 race. As did Latifi I believe.
Part of the reason I don't put much stock in Schu's F2 championship. That he didn't win until his second year while running for the top team in F2.

I've usually heard it as; "How to make a small fortune racing? Start with a large one."

Zak Brown says that the value of @F1 franchises has grown massively since teams agreed to a $200 million buy-in fee in 2020, though he wouldn't say what the new number is.
"The value of an F1 franchise from when the Concorde Agreement was signed to now — it’s grown rapidly."

@F1Miami is finalizing a deal with Austrian caterer Do & Co to take over food service in the Paddock Club next year, per sources, after some teams and VIPs complained about the service during the inaugural race weekend (a local caterer was used).
Do & Co works most F1 races

The budget cap has actually raised the value of the teams as they are no longer a financial black hole.
Every team, other than Haas possibly since they seemingly refuse to get a title sponsor, should be profitable. The front running teams should be hugely profitable. Hell, the bottom team on the grid is guaranteed something like $80 million just from the F1 prize fund.

I wonder how many cans of Red Bull are sold because of the F1 team? It would just be interesting to me to see that number.

I thought it was said that Alpha Tauri will now supply all the official F1 gear for teams. Not sure how that works or if it was just F1 gear and the teams will still have their brand sponsors.
Crazy an energy drink company has grown to what it is.

Honda moved back the date they are turning it all over, haven't really been public as to why.
They saw dollar signs from the WDC. I'd also guess the ax of the MGU-H in 2026 has a lot to with Honda sticking around and VW/Audi/Porsche becoming more of a possibility.

Earlier this year I partied a couple of nights in Tulum with 3 young Dutch chicks whom I believe work for Do & Co. When I met them the first thing I asked was about Max then they told me they are hostesses in the VIP sections of F1 races. I think they instantly accepted me after that.

Havent read this yet.. Knew they agreed to sell the IP over to RBR.
I'm sure after the way last year ended, they were regretting getting out. Worst possible time.

Amazing how a podium finish fixed Hamilton’s back pain issues
