Looks like a wet one today. Might dry up just in time for quali. Wet and cold.

Not sure we will see anyone run in FP3.

My understanding is that the Ferraris traveled straight to Canada from Baku.

Piergiuseppe Donadoni
@SmilexTech
Leclerc will start last on Sunday. Ferrari will change PU again on the F1-75 of the Monegasque,
not going into penalty only with the turbo but also with other elements.
Very correct strategic move and to do so needed to clear a PU without turbo today

Are we going to get some chaos today?

Interested to see how Ham performs after saying the car is worse and undrivable. Going to be funny when all of a sudden he’s in the top 4

They may revert back to the fp1 setup.

how much can they stack these things? Seems like Lewis got several components at spa a few years back because once you're at the back of the grid then you might as well accumulate "new" components but I thought they made a rule about this.

Anyone want to become a Formula 1 engineer? Found this website and have poured through it. Really well laid out program, touches on Formula E and F3, too. I'm interested in the data engineering and analytics part of it.

The first PU component is 10 grid spots and each additional is 5 for the rest of the season. Apparently they can still pile them on and just start at the absolute end of the field.

Initially they were reported as having to take control electronics for a 10 spot penalty, so if they just took a new turbo it would be 5 more spots added on. Might as well load up and start 20th as those parts will be able to be used in future races without penalty.

If they didn't take the turbo they would have had to run the one remaining good one that they ran at Bahrain.

Ferrari Challenge has spotters sitting in the crowd.

Snagged from another forum, that is Johnny O'Connell, former Corvette pilot, with the headset.

We're in grandstand 1, 11 rows up right across from the Mercedes pit. Unreal. Having a blast.

I honestly can't see any team avoiding a penalty. 3 engines for 22 races? They used to get 8 for 20 races which sounds about right. Even absent crash damage, running an 1.6l engine at 1000bhp for at least 7 races plus practice and qualifying sounds ridiculous

Honestly not a bad plan considering Alonso is planning on 23 as well

You'd imagine Lewis is too
