Get rid of the mickey mouse chicane under the bridge and I think it would be pretty decent.

These cars are just too big for crap like that.

The bumps in the circuit will be passed out folks who have been drinking all day in the desert sun.

Dry heat sneaks up on you quick for dehydration.

Max just completely blew the rear tires off on that new asphalt in 17. Could be a problem.

I just came here to say that new patch right on the post-apex acceleration zone is going to be an issue.

And KMag looped it there.

And now Ocon knocked the wall down in Sainz Corner.

Wasn't really paying attention to the commentary after the red flag and I am like WTF is that... JPM talking. I haven't heard him talk in years.

Obtuse - how long have you been watching F1? I started back when it was on NBCSN before DTS. Love the growth but a lot of folks these days are just driver groupies. Regardless, the US is making a great showing with these Friday and Saturday crowds.

Also a question for the thread - who has the best chance to be an American F1 driver? Logan, Colton, or someone else? We need it badly.

I was watching and saw it happen just as shown in the gif. The talking heads were oblivious while I'm thinking "someone may have just died" thinking the poor slob in the truck just got charbroiled.

Love hearing JPM's perspectives. Talking about refueling and all the different strategies, and going all out in each stint. Also the IndyCar perspectives being discussed, the strategic use of time-limited push-to-pass, the heavy steering... Great conversation.

I wish they had done a session with Jenson, JPM and Ralf, maybe add David if he is in Miami. That would have been a lot of fun.

I'm old, I started when the only F1 coverage was Wide World of Sports doing a delayed showing of Monaco every year.

The best Friday/Saturday crowds I have ever seen were in the early 2000s (maybe 2000-2003) at Indy. The years without a US GP really brought out the fans.

WTF happened to Merc?

Checo really has that 13/14/15 chicane complex dialed. He avoids the curb in 13 more than any other driver and it works.
