Who, outside of Haas would be up for sale? And how does that play into Andretti trying to get involved too?
I've seen McLaren, Sauber (Alfa) and Williams mentioned. Williams was purchased by an investment group so one can figure they are always for sale for the right price.
Haas has been pretty clear he's not interested in selling. Or he really doesn't like Michael Andretti.
I'm guessing both.
eta-I wish Porsche and Audi would come in as new teams to get a full field, but apparently that is not an option at this point. Andretti would be unaffected if they go with established teams.

That chart is fascinating in multiple ways. The one that stands out to me is the benefit of reducing the COG by 1mm.
RE weight: Lewis better be glad there is a required driver weight and equitably distributed ballast or Yuki would have 6 tenths of a second on him just based on weight and an extra hundredth or two based on lowering the COG of the car.

Miami operatives exposing fake sea in Monaco
Carlos you got some 'splaining to do
Belle Island was such a cool place for a GP, the setting reminds me of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Notre Dame island.

This image shocked me:
So I had to do some quick research. The USGP was held at Watkins Glen for 20 years from 1961 to 1980.
For a moment there, I was thinking "Gosh, there's not a single track in America that could be considered a classic F1 road course!" But I couldn't believe Watkins Glen had only been used once so I had to look it up.

I would love to see them around Road America but it would take some serious upgrades and a bunch more runoff area. The kink would tighten quite a few sphincters

Road America management has specifically said they have zero interest in ever having F1 at the track.
Saying that, the FIA grade 1 standards have become ridiculous and somewhat inconsistent. RA as it sits is likely just as safe for an F1 car as Jeddah, however would never be approved in it's current form. While Indycar has no problem with it.
Saying that, I've watched a couple sim vids and RA would instantly become the world's fastest F1 track. Their speed through the Carousel would be insane.

The effect of drag versus downforce is interesting and makes sense as doubling the vertical force on the tires does not double the lateral grip. Instead there are diminishing returns, so finding the proper trade off is important.

Tony Brooks died today. I think he is the last GP winner from the 50s to die. He came in second in the WDC in 1959 driving for Ferrari (Brabham won that year). RIP to the racing dentist.

I’m trying to figure out my way into this without paying 850$. Half the track is backdropped by ghetto neighborhoods in Miami. I almost feel like I could hop one of the fences and be in the mix somewhere out of sight.

Best view in the house. Just put some hazard lights on your lawn chair. Track is right under the edge there too.

Yeah, reading the wiki page for Miami Gardens it seems to be a bit of a shithole.
Kinda like the Vista View apartments.
"They're ain't no vista and their ain't no view."
