Today was the first day I’ve been able to watch. I guess I picked the right day to start.

Last time we saw something like that in the Tour was...Floyd? Definitely a throwback performance.

Roll, CVV, & Horner seem to think Roglic will abandon the race after the rest day Monday since WvA didn't win yellow today and Rog's chances at yellow are basically nil

Have they done this before?
Seems like a weird precedent to set.

Pog has been the leader of the young rider classification since the end of stage 12 last year... so last 9 stages last year in white and will likely be in white from stage 1 to Paris this year (already 5 minutes up there)

sure he won't actually wear the white jersey anymore now that he's in yellow... but he is just dominating that contest as well

wait... Roglic hasn't finished yet?

ETA: oh shite... Roglic & Geraint Thomas are both with the massive sprinter group

35-ish minutes behind the winner and 34:15-ish behind Pog's time

Pogacar just drug his nuts across the entire group of GC hopefuls. Team? I don't need no stinkin' team.

How much longer do Roglic and MVDP remain in the race?

Lots of respect for Rog but if I were him I would question starting tomorrow. It will be a lot of suffering for nothing. He can't help the team and the likelihood of doing anything on an individual level is small. Go get prepped for the coming events.

just like was said on the post-race... do tomorrow's stage and see what can be done and if it's not nearly enough... there's the rest day Monday to make the decision

So Pog has basically won the tour and we haven't reached the first rest day. Baring a crazy crash Pog will easily win this.

looks like they made the time cut.

Second place in the white jersey contest will wear white for Pog now. Yellow jersey supercedes all other jerseys in cycling

Pretty sure MVDP said he was riding through stage 10 and then abandon to get ready for the olympics.

yes I know... but on the trophy stand at the end of the day Pog gets it

and the point is... he's led that competition continuously since stage 12 last year and is definitely going to take that competition from start to finish this year (barring abandonment from the Tour for whatever reason)

Roglic said he will now focus on the Tokyo Olympics' road race.

If I were him, I would start with some wound care to take care of all that road rash. Brutal.
