Brad used to own a Truck team. He shuttered it to start a manufacturing company, which Penske had advised him to do. He's a similar age to when Tony Stewart took over Haas. I could definitely see an angle where Brad is given a similar deal to eventually be the team owner for Roush.

Brad has been open about being a Cup owner. This keeps him under the Ford banner, and he'd be taking over for a fellow Michigan native in Jack Roush.

This just makes too much sense. We all thought Tony was crazy for leaving Gibbs for Haas right? Worked out for him.

Brad is the odd man out of the trio. Logano and Blaney are about to have big seasons.

Which is weird since he's the veteran there and Penske didn't really get going until he got there.

If ownership is in a deal for Brad to go to Roush, then yeah, it would make more sense. I am just saying that I can't really see him moving there just as a driver given where Roush currently stands.

I agree. I don't think this would be just as a driver though. He said when he shut the truck team down he wanted to be a Cup owner. This might be his in.

Umm Wallace Mayfield Richmond and Newman were Penske
As were Kurt who was in chase 3 times for Penske

He had the Allison’s and Yarborough before he shut down in 70”s when he started to build his Indy and IMSA teams

Guessing he means championships. Hard to argue Brad has been integral in getting them over the hump. Not just for himself but Logano as well. I honestly would expect Penske to take a step back if Brad left. Brad is more than just a driver.

I knew Brad was getting tired of Logano's shite when the 22 wrecked him out of the Clash and the 500 last year.

Brad of course repeats that this year.

I didn't think about Kurt and the 1. That would be a good landing place for Brad. He can win there, be the lead dog, and be a mentor for Chastain.

When Penske did the crew chief swap, Brad got the worst end of the deal. Remarkable that he got 4 wins last year.

Shows how good he is.

I'm talking about they pretty much sucked for years other than Rusty Wallace. They've never been as good as they are now.

Richmond

Was gonna be a great one and multiple champion IMO if he hadn't got the AIDS.

Problem with this idea is it requires Jack Roush to be open to new ideas and giving someone else control, seems unlikely while he’s still able to manage things

He was wrecked out of Daytona and had mechanical issues on the road course.

I'm guessing you think the same about Byron as well.
