Junior nailed it though when he said that this is the type of racing that you're gonna get here at this race now that it's the cut-off race.

Did ten cars even cross the finish line?

These plate races are joke.

Its either plates or they are going 230.

Wait wasn’t Reddick in the huge wreck that got Dillon to 4th?

He was in the wreck before that one. He picked up a bunch of spots, too, in the wreck that got Dillon to 4th.

Hated the finish but loved the race.
So much two wide racing with no one dominating.

Exactly how I feel. Great race, bad ending.

I've watched NASCAR seriously since the 80's I'm done with Daytona/Dega. Before the race was even over last night I txted my buddy "I hate Daytona". I might as well had gone to the local short track to watch a Demo Derby. That's all they've become now.

Not true at all. I'm tired of NASCAR trying to fix the cars to make them run at Dega and Dayton when they work perfectly well at every single other track on the circuit. It's time to admit the banking at both those track is too much and it's time to take some of the banking out of the turns at those two racetracks. That WOULD fix the problem. It issue is the France Family and IMS owns those two tracks and it costs NASCAR money to fix them. It doesn't cost NASCAR any money to monkey with the cars to try and get a square peg to fit into a round hole.

DV me away, but that's my opinion.

You prefer the single file racing with 10 cars on the lead lap and the leader ahead by 6 seconds?

I swear to God if someone could pull up MSB in 2006, people were saying the same sh*t.

Daytona and Talladega have been like this for longer than what they were BEFORE plates.

Don't act like any of this is new.

No. I prefer what we saw at Michigan last week. Two mile track, lower banking, and the cars were able to hold it wide open 95% of the time, yet the cars were able to get separation from each other.

This isn’t that complex.

That was a good race.
I thought Daytona was very good as well and completely different from what we’ve seen in recent years.

Now that Ida is in our rear view mirrors, my favorite race to watch each year has finally come. To me, the emotions I get watching the Southern 500 is a mix of a homecoming game at my alma mater & celebrating my birthday (which I have done many of times at Darlington). Something that is much needed after the horrendous week had by all is a good clean and quality fun Raceday at The Lady in Black.

Been to Darlington twice. Great track.

Good on NASCAR for putting the Southern 500 back where it belongs, and having it open the playoffs.

Went to Darlington the year Hamlin outdueled Truex (2017?).
Spent the weekend in Columbia.
Columbia isn’t exactly awesome but for a long weekend it was decent and we had a good time.

I celebrated my 13th birthday for the Craven Busch finish.

That was a great race.
