Probably because the races were so close together on the schedule, people consider it boring, declining attendance, and if they didn't do it they were going to lose a race. They may still lose one.

They should lose one. It's never been that great of a track.

I expected this to happen soon. Hendrick is getting up in age and the last press conference for getting the record he didn't look real great, not bad, but he's put on some weight and you can tell he is getting up in age. I can't think of anyone else better to turn it over to eventually.

I wonder if the plan is for Jeff to help keeps things going and then eventually hand over the company to Ricky's daughter when Rick eventually steps back? I'm sure there are other members of the family involved already but I would imagine, if his grand daughter wants it when she is older, the company is hers.

Gotta think Knaus will have the #24 car ready to roll today. Byron is probably the best of the 4 Hendrick drivers here.

Elliot is shite water carter at Pocono and Larson is in a backup.

That being said, the 11 or 18 SHOULD win today if its a fair race.

Yeah b/c the original plan was for Ricky to take over but we all know what happened.

Your scenario makes sense.

There’s an Xfinity Series race on now for those who don’t know, about halfway through it.

Justin Haley out of the 77 car in the Cup Race after a hard crash in the Xfinity Series race. Justin Allgaier will fill in.

Looks like this will be a fuel mileage finish.

Fuel mileage races have the most drama. I enjoy them.

Hamlin is chewing up Byron’s lead. Byron will have to pick it up.

Byron doesn't have that closing mentality like the other two Hendrick drivers have. (Bowman excluded).

He'll probably figure it out over time.

Damn, was hoping he would run out and Larson could rebound for a win.

Busch wins, transmission/shifter problems and low fuel didn’t stop him.
