No I meant the 99. I’m stuck in a time warp.

Nope. Kenseth replaced Logano in the 20 in 2013ish i believe, Suarez replaced Carl after he retired in 2017. Suarez wasn't likely to come up from Nationwide for another year or two but Coach had to make haste because of sponsors.

What became of Reed Sorenson? I feel that around 2005 or so he was supposed to be the next big time driver in nascar

Suarez was never in the 20 car in the Cup Series. Kenseth took over the 20 in 2013 when Logano went to Penske following the 2012 season. Suarez moved to Cup in 2017 in the 19 car.

Never panned out with Ganassi. Moved to Petty, but didn’t have success. Had a good Xfinity Series (then Nationwide Series) ride in 2011 and was doing well that season but got kicked out of the ride late in the year (team never said why). Ever since he’s mostly driven back marker cars.

The lack of clarity on that leads me to believe he said the wrong thing to the wrong person. And it was agreed to never be spoken about again.

Keselowski to Roush is happening, PER BOB POCKRASS.

Didn’t see that one coming, they’ll probably try to get it to the level that Stewart helped Haas get to I guess? You could tell Brad hasn’t been happy.

I’d put Cindric in the 12
Logano stays in the 22
Blaney moves to the 2

I will put money on Cindric going to the 2 and the rest staying the same, Cindric's dad is one of the higher ups in the Penske empire. Kes will likely take Discount Tire with him to KesRoushski Racing, they've been long time sponsors of his from his developmental days before NASCAR - so it's not like they will have to negotiate with them or Miller about who takes the seat.

There's always the possibility that the 12 gets consolidated into the 2 because of sponsorship and Penske goes back to a two car team with the 21 as the satellite with Cindric while letting Matt D walk.

So that guy on Reddit that said he saw Brad’s name on a Roush document way back in February wasn’t lying.

Speaking of switching numbers I feel like if I were a driver I wouldn’t want to move to numbers like 48, 24 or 3 because those numbers are synonymous with certain drivers.

If I were driving for Hendrick I think I’d want to be the 25 if he still has it. I also realize it may not be completely up to me.

WOW! I never saw that coming TBH.

Good for Brad. He has more than earned the right to be a lead dog somewhere, and now he will be. And he doesn't have to put up w/Logano anymore.

His presence and knowledge will be a huge boost for Roush.

NASCAR trucks are the first take the track at COTA, right now on FS1. Weird seeing them on what’s primarily built to be an F1 track.

The lack of local cautions for specific sections of the track will be an issue this weekend. Already a problem in Truck practice.

I’ve been gone all day, did they race in the rain or had it stopped by race time?

Rain tires and windshield wipers for all 3 series this weekend - green flags all day unless darkness becomes an issue. Trucks had minimal cautions because they weren't throwing the yellow every time there was a spinout. It rained all the way until 5ish laps left.
