Not that this was his fault but I think it's time for Almirola to drop down to Xfinity and let someone else have that seat

Disagree. A lot of his problems this year have been caused by something fluky. He has 2 wins on the series and has been in the playoffs. He's just having a rough go of it.

Looks like clean air is still king. Bowman got out front and now Larson looks like Elliott earlier when he was trying to run him down.

Strange Top 10 right now. Top 4 all HMS cars, Reddick in 6th, Suarez in 7th, Wallace in 9th.

I'm not talking about this year, he's never done anything consistently

Reddick was my darkhorse today

Of course that's ruined by Truex sucking

He hasn’t won since 2018 and has not been consistent. He is in good equipment and should be better.

I don’t think Almirola would have that ride at all without Smithfield. He may not be in the Cup Series right now without them. He’s not a bad driver, but has never seemed to meet the standard of SHR.

That’s a good point. Having that sponsor locked down has given him job security. I think he would still be in Cup but he would be driving for one of those low budget teams.

I agree. Both his wins were restrictor plate tracks. I don't know why he can keep a sponsor like Smithfield but guys like Matty D and Josh Berry, who is winning and finishing 2nd on tracks he's never been to and never practiced on can't get sponsorship.

Now this is fair.

Another second place finish for Larson that should have been a win.

To be fair, Bowman's crew won him this race. Can't really hold this against Larson.

1-2-3-4 finish for Hendrick. First time since '05.

Was hoping something would happen to get Elliott out front but I'll take a 1-2-3-4 finish.

And a Ford did not lead a single lap, kind of surprised by that.

Road course coming up next week, Chase owns those. He's by far the best road racer on the circuit. I like his chances to finally breakthrough this season. He's finally seemed to have got it going the last 2-3 races.

How do y'all feel about the very real possibility of the numbers being slid back?

I hate it.

He had his chance to move him. Around that track, it's about all you can do. Teammate or not.
