Tech is putting the penis to LSU right now

A lot of teams will do that this year unfortunately. LSU wasn't good last year and they won't be this year either.

I think LA Tech is going to beat the pants off a lot of teams this year.

Way too much talent in this state for LSU to not dominate. I know they recruit nationally but they should be able to make a solid foundation with Louisiana kids.

La Tech is extremely impressive.
Idk what kind of arms they have or what the pitching depth is, but damn they can mash

Yeah they have a bunch of older guys who can really hit.

Naw it doesn't work that way. Maineiri had a nice run but he's old now and he's just collecting a couple of extra checks before retirement and it shows.

I turned off the game and went do something else. Just saw the score. Sorry. Probably my fault

People keep comparing where LSU baseball is now to the end of the Les era in football and that seems like a good comparison. IMO, last year’s short season was a blessing for Maineri as I felt the 2020 team was going to have scratch and claw to make the postseason. Nice comeback tonight though.

Shortstop let them down too. Two pretty routine balls he crossed himself up on that got into the outfield.
Walks, passed balls, and errors that was an ugly 7th by Tech

3 games in and the rant was ready to go nuclear after a 4-0 deficit in the 4th inning. now its 11-6 and a slow night on the rant.

Four runs being scored without a hit definitely isn’t a recipe for success.
We’ll see how they respond to this implosion tomorrow. Will tell us a lot about this team.

I don’t think this team is terribly talented offensively outside of Crews, and am no PM fan so I love reading the early season melts.
Interested to see how this team does against SEC pitching. The pitching is going to be good enough to keep this team in a lot of games but I’m not convinced they can score enough. Will be more than happy to be wrong on that assessment.
Regardless of this outcome I still stand by my Tech take. The lineup is impressive they just ran into an absolute buzz saw in Coleman and couldn’t figure him out

Ha...I started watching just as the rout began. My only regret is that this did not go into mega extra innings, ;-)
Even though that did not happen, and I am also still concerned about our games with these teams this week, I like our chances a whole lot better after watching this game. Would love to take both games today and tomorrow, but will settle for 1-1.
Oh, and I got my season tickets with the Vermilion package, and will be there Wednesday....can't wait!!! :

Not a flame here at all, serious question.
What about last nights game helps you to be more confidant? La Tech showed they can mash the baseball. Perhaps their relief pitching gives you good vibes because they weren't strong their last night and should be a little short handed going into tonight.
As for LSU, they showed that they can hit the ball at times and they have plenty of pitching depth. If I were you I would have felt more confidant half way through the game when through 2 and a half games it looked like LSU couldn't hit its way out of a wet paper bag.

Damn, real sad my Bulldogs lost.
Game notes for tonight. Cajuns starting Spencer Arrighetti tonight. He started at TCU before going JUCO. LINK
