This HAS to be a last chance for Cooke to earn a primary role. When he's on, his stuff is really good. But when he's off, it's really bad, and unfortunately he's been off too much of his mound time this season.

I hate to overreact 7 games into the season, but this just don’t look or feel like an NCAA Tournament team. Even against Southern last weekend, just bleh.
A senior loaded team has gotten spanked by an in state rival with no seniors in the lineup in consecutive games. Oof.
Props to the Cajuns they are for real this year.

The massive drop off against LSU after the starter was concerning.

McNeese defeats the Cajuns 4-3. All the runs for McNeese came in one inning against Moriarty. All other pitchers pitched well. McNeese pitched well all night. Felt like the Cajuns struck out 15 times but I don’t know the actual number. Had bases loaded in the 8th and ran into an out at 3rd in the 9th and then had 1st and 2nd and struck out looking on a 3-2 count.

Dogs took down McNeese 11-0. The game got chippy which is exactly what we needed.

SLU took game 2 today. Will Warren has been solid so far, not giving up an earned run this season. A sweep tomorrow will be a big bounce back from last weekend.
