Holtby in net for the Stars tonight, first time he's going against the Caps. 4 game win streak for the Greenies as well - I'm wondering if they keep it going or shite the bed at home again like they did against MTL last week.

Can the Flyers break the record? 5 games from 18 L's in a row, the record breaking game would come against...the Pens. Make it happen!

This. Would. Be. Awesome!

Big win for the Red Wings tonight. They win 3-2 in a shootout with rookie Lucas Raymond scoring the only goal.

Looks like the Coyotes will be playing at Arizona State’s new 5,000 seat Ice hockey arena starting next year. They are playing to play there for the next 2-3 years

Absolutely ridiculous they're not heading to Houston or Quebec.

Financially, I don’t know how they can sustain by playing somewhere that will only sit 5,000 people. They couldn’t sustain playing in a bigger arena. Its time for change. I’m sure the NHL is not too thrilled about this.

It just blows my mind that the arena in Quebec City is sitting there ready for a NHL team to take and none of the southern teams are going for it. I thought for sure the Panthers or Coyotes would have jumped for it by now.

But Betteman took the Thrashers away from Atlanta instead of the Coyotes from Phoenix due to Gretzky.

frick. Betteman. W/a splintered broomstick up his 2H.

Av’s on a 9 game winning streak. 1st in the division. When playoffs come, they’ll probably let me down again.

There is no way they are going to Quebec City. It would create an alignment problem. The Red Wings are never going back to the Western Conference. If the Coyotes were ever going to leave it probably would have happened by now. And Bettman has always wanted them there. So I don't see them leaving.

If memory serves, the NHL was heavily entangled in the Coyotes ownership process at that time. The ASG made it clear that they were about to do the same thing with the Thrashers, and allow it to die an ugly death. Only option NHL had was the easier, no-entanglement sale of the Thrashers, and sort out the Coyotes stuff when possible.

I love the game. Still do. But I hate the leadership that runs it.
