Late response. The best temp for outdoor ice is about 18. We did an outdoor rink most years when I was growing up. Obviously, we didn't have pipes and shite underneath, but I would assume the concept is similar. When it gets too cold, the ice starts cracking and that is extremely dangerous for someone to catch an edge and frick up their ankle.

The Stars need road wins in the worst way, though. It’s great and all to win at home, but they have to find a way to grind out an over .500 road record for the remaining road games

Same with the Red Wings. They are 4-11-3 on the road compared 12-5-2 at home. Need consistency at Goalie but loving the youth on this team.

From Elliotte Friedman Twitter account:

Hearing NHL/NHLPA agreeing on no longer testing asymptomatic players and staff after All-Star. At that point, testing only required for cross-border travel and if a person develops symptoms.

Friedman once said the Blues almost completed a trade for him and Hertl.

quote:

SAN JOSE -- Timo Meier set a San Jose franchise record with five goals on Monday, and the Sharks used a huge first period to beat the Los Angeles Kings 6-2.
Meier, a sixth-year winger who made his first All-Star team this season, notched a hat trick before the first period even ended. He then scored his fourth goal less than two minutes into the second period and broke the Sharks' record with his fifth just 27 seconds before the second intermission.

NHL on ESPN tonight and the Kings are wearing their stupid silver Cylon helmets. Not helping.

I don't think it would have made any difference what helmets the Kings were wearing. The Avs are the hottest team in the NHL.

VGK pull one out of their arse in OT to salvage a bad homestand. Now, they go on a brutal Eastern trip to end the month.

Watched a lot of the Avs - Kings game tonight. Avs definitely look legit right now but we've caught this act before.

Malkin looks really good in his first few games back. Right as the Pens were winning 10 in a row now 3 in a row again.

100%

I'll believe it when they make the West Conference Finals.
They've folded too many times with too much talent the past few years for me to have extra hope.

Their best shot IMO was as the 8 seed after beating Calgary and getting hosed against San Jose - probably would have won the Cup that year.

Who do I have to kill to get some of your picks?

VGK have a BRUTAL week next week. 4 road games in 6 nights. At Capitals, Hurricanes, Panthers and Lightning. All of this without Stone, Pacioretty and Alec Martinez for at least half of those games. I'll be happy if they can pull 2-3 points out of that.

system play starts tonight. caps in 3 game homestand. use martingale or labouchere system or whatever suits you based on moneyline. just double or triple down after a loss to get back wagered amount plus winnings. we are betting moneyline. as usual per system rules you only need 1 win out of three(this time) to profit. if we win game 1 we are done. once we get a win we win system. system over. i ususally go 4 games deep but caps have not lost 2 straight at home all year, neither have bruins BTW. bruins have a 2 game homestand but marchand is out i think. could be a side play. i am for sure wagering on caps. we just need 1 win outta next 3.

yeah enjoyed habs miraculous run last year but we have known for years we needed a full tear down and rebuild. so while we are losing i am making money off it. why not?

i went 15-0 last year fading detroit.

i will let lsucanfan tell you the rest of my record. it was insane. only system loss i had all year was leafs in playoffs against habs.

You wanted picks???? right?

THERE YOU GO! you are welcome!

4-0 on the night!

system win in first game of 3 game chase.

CAPS beat ottawa 3-2! BOOM!

system win in first game of a 2 game chase.

BOSTON beats jets 3-2! BOOM!

now i did not give out this one but as you knew i had been fading coyotes and habs. moneyline on avs was like -520. terrible. so i parlayed rangers/avs to beat habs/coyotes. Guess what? BOOM! it hit as well!

avs beat habs 3-2

rangers beat coyotes 7-3

beautiful two team parlay i hit on as a added bonus.

4-0 on the night!

now you see why i went 40-0 last regular season in system plays??
