Did someone wake up and tell Bora that today’s stage was a TTT?
Jesus

eta: this final stretch of road looks terrifying at those speeds with all that road furniture and spectators willing to lose their feet stand that close to the peloton

Allaphillipe of course shows up. Sunweb has played their AK. But not sure they have anymore suited cards

Well they did it and Bora screwed this up

I had no idea Sunweb had that kind of depth. Fantastic stage though

I'm starting to like JA less and less this tour for some reason.

Fantastic riding from Sunweb.

I’m going to hell for this probably

But no Sherwood idiot comments and stupid facts has made Ligget go back to calling the race not cheerleading for Ineos. I felt Sherwood always made Phil be a Wiggins, Froome, Thomas, Bernal super fan. But they’re both British so I get it.

Ligget in early mid 90’s was amazing on commentary. His CBS days were never utilized properly but his Disney days were great.

Sunweb EF could be a great rivalry. Israeli Team could jump into this fight in few years

He has been like a heel in wrestling. He’s opportunistic but not wanting to do the work this year.

I'm not going to pretend to understand the finer points of cycling, but it seems like he's just attacking for attacking sake and there's very little logic to it.
Plus like you mentioned, he comes across as a bit of a punk when he refuses to work with other riders.

I think the penalty that stripped him of the yellow the first week fricked him mentally and he dgaf anymore.
He’s an hour down. Never saw that coming.

On another note I didn’t realize Bardet was a DNS today. Did he pull out bc of his prior crash?

The Frenchies aren’t having a very good tour this year. Pinot, Bardet, JA etc..

Yep. Gave him a pretty wicked concussion apparently.

Credit to Bora for trying to spice up the green competition. Hasn’t worked out, but it’s changed the racing on some of theses stages. You never see this tactical shite hardly ever outside of grand tours.
Tomorrow...

Yeah this stage has been wild. Today was not supposed to be that tense lol.

Bora had a plan to drop the other sprinters, but it seems like they didn't have a plan for the expected attacks on the last two small climbs. Buchmann did a great job there at the end, but Sagan shouldn't have to chase people down that far out.
