The great chip on 14, incredible tee shot and eagle on 16, and dropping the Wanamaker in the presentation to create a memorable .gif... Collin is a legend and I am a fan

Especially with the coverage. Almost 12 hours of golf a day was amazing.

Wonder what NBC will do with the US Open since they have it this year. Favorite part about British Open is how they show every shot from first to last group. Obviously not the same since it’s on the East coast but hopefully we get more than just 6-7 hours a day

I don't know about any of y'all, but I like sitting down after dinner and watching 2 or 3 hours of live golf.

Dude is only 23 and will be ranked somewhere between 4th and 8th in the OWGR after today.

Note to all the bettors out there. Consider putting your money on Morikawa in the 3rd tournament he plays from now - the BMW if he plays all of them.

These are his results over the past few weeks when play resumed.

2nd
64th

Won
48th
20th
Won
Wyndham - ?
Northern Trust - ?
BMW - WIN?

He seems like a good young man...and a great golfer, no doubt. However, golf will never be the same for him. Fortune and fame have found him and along with that comes sky-high expectations. I’m interested to see how he handles it all.

Maybe but I don’t know. I don’t think anyone is hailing him as the next TW. the fact that there’s so many other young dudes is in his favor.

JT, Speith, Rahm, Wolff, Hovland, Xander, Champ — all under 27

I’m just glad Brooks talking all that shite didn’t even get close to winning. He is getting annoying to me. Glad he sucked today.

He has the best avg out of any player in the OWGR. But there is a minimum divisor (40) they use for the world ranking points if you haven’t played enough tournaments.

So instead of all his points being divided by 29, they’re divided by 40.

300/40 puts him at 7.5 for 5th in the world.
300/29 puts him at 10.1 for 1st in the world ahead of everyone by a over 1.5 points. Impressive.

David Duval (who is awesome in the booth) said it the best with Spieth....

David Duval explains how 1 mistake led to Jordan Spieth’s downfall

quote:

When we got done talking at the end of the year in 2015 after that historic season he had, one thing I said and cautioned him and hoped he wouldn’t do was chase distance. He came back in 2016 saying he was trying to find 5 or 10 yards in the offseason and I was like: ‘oh boy.’ “

quote:

“I believe [Spieth] needs to let go of Cameron McCormick’s hand and start digging it out of the dirt himself,” Duval said. “That’s nothing against Cameron … he just needs to figure it out himself.”

Anyone see Bryson fidgeting around answering questions about Morikawa and saying, “he’s a great ball striker. I envy him. Maybe I can get there one day.”

I have to add that the entire answer wasn’t slimy and a good portion of it seemed sincere(although he seemed a bit annoyed). But the way he ended it with the “maybe I can be as good as him” was smug af

Thought Paul Casey's interview was great afterwards.

Brooks ain't doing himself any favors.

On-course analyst Colt Knost said that “the wheels are just kind of falling off for Jordan Spieth right now,” in part because he’s gone “full technical” with his game
Have you ever seen McCormick’s show on golf channel?

It’s the most overly intricate, needlessly complicated, crazy swing tool dominated, paralysis by analysis bullshite I’ve ever seen. And the show is geared towards weekend hackers!

There’s no telling the things he does with a pro.

It’s the exact opposite of what Spieth needs at the moment.
