Talking with someone close to #Cubs, sounds like 2 pitching prospects and a bat would get it done for Bryant. They're assuming he loses grievance & has 2 yrs left before free agency). #Braves match up better than other potential suitors if they're willing to part with prospects.

I would take anything from beat writers with a grain of salt. None of them have any clue what goes on behind closed doors since AA got the job.

Where is solak going to play when y’all sign rendon?

1B, 2B, RF, DH.

He is athletic enough and his bat is good enough, for him to play almost anywhere.

Guzman, DeShields, and Odor all suck so he is going to get 500+ ABs in many different positions.

Yeah Braves have had close to zero leaks since AA took over.

Team twitter account breaks almost everything.

Time to start the trade
Happy + prospect to the Brewers or White Sox for no one

Andujar + Frazier + Ford + prospect to the DBacks for Robbie Ray

A number of teams have engaged with the Twins about Eddie Rosario. Nothing appears imminent, per source, but as the free-agent corner OF market begins to take shape, he could become an appealing alternative with two years of club control.

The Yankees have interest in C Martin Maldonado, per source. Interesting stats to consider: Maldonado caught Gerrit Cole 10 times in 2019 - and Cole had a 1.57 ERA and .471 opponent OPS in those starts, his lowest numbers with any of Houston's catchers last season.

dodgers and indians come to an agreement tonight if the indians meet the dodgers halfway and come off demanding may. if they dont, we probably wait and see what donaldsons or bryants market looks like in january

other than that, would assume we bring ryu back

Is the only reason it has Lux as so much valuable because his age (22) and contract vs Lindor (26)... Because next 4-5 years I'm betting Lindor has more value.

yes, the difference is how expensive, and how much control, they will be/have. ZiPS has lux accumulating just under 12 WAR through his first three seasons. and thats a conservative estimate by design. thats really, really valuable

I still don't see Lux as that much more valuable. We don't even know if he will be the player that Lindor is currently but I guess that is just out there....

Still would take Lindor as a 6+ WAR player over Lux/Verdugo next year since the Dodgers have depth. I'm about the championship when it makes sense.

it basically comes down to in 2 years you will most likely be pushing 400 million dollars and almost 10 years for lindor. in 2 years, you will still be paying the min for lux and have another 3 years to go before any major commitment needs to happen

thats where the difference in trade value simulators come from

I'm aware, but I don't think position players will get 400, maybe a Manny type deal for Lindor

I’d like to see that Bryant deal go down as well. Anderson, Wright, and Pache would already be on a plane to take their physicals.

Obviously.

No way Pache is on the table imo.

These things kinda make me laugh, you think the Red Sox would give back Sale and their WS for the promise of Moncada, Kopech, and Diaz? They are closer with Sale than those 3 and I'm sure those 3 were worth more "value" than Sale at the time.
