How does that change the fact our schedule has been brutal to start the season?

Cubs play 27 of 29 in September when it's crunch time, big deal.

You don't like the schedule, well, write a letter:

Get shutout twice, score 17, then score 1.

What a weird stretch of baseball.

That's baseball and why they play 162. I have a bet with a friend of mine who's a Reds fan for this month as the Cubs and Reds play six, three each in Great American and Wrigley. It's $10 a game.

Now, I'm confident on taking the bet but I will guarantee you the Reds will play the Cubs hard. Year in, year out since realignment regardless on how bad either team can be that season they play each other hard. That's how it should be when you play a division rival and why we can all agree the NL Central is the most competitive in MLB.

We're a bunch of cousins that will be slightly nice to each other face to face but will talk shite about each other behind each other's back. Just like any other family.

For fricks sake, the Cubs have played 19 home games to the Cardinals 21 home games. Basically, you are just a whiney arse count.

I just came here to say frick the Cardinals and their douche following on the MSB.

The Cubs have produced a 2-1 record against the Dodgers, 2-1 record against the Brewers and 3-0 against the Cardinals in the last couple weeks with their "easy" schedule.

Meanwhile the Cardinals are 3-9 in their last 12 games in a "brutal" stretch against the Nationals, Phillies, Cubs and Pirates.

Not too far off the 21-5 start from 2016, (22-7) when you take off that horrid start.

Well if you're going back a few weeks the Cards are 4-0 vs Dodgers and 3-0 vs Brewers and 3-1 vs Nats.

But that's why the Cards SOS ranks 3rd in baseball right now, Cubs aren't top 10.

Will even out over next week some as Cards get the Royals and Rangers for 5.

You've also played the Marlins 7 times already.

It's okay to admit the schedules are completely stupid this season. Everything is grouped together. People are basically just doing home and homes all season.

DH can stand for Dull Habitat as well. It's a stretch but it's killing two birds with one stone.
