The asterisk will be large on this one. Like most of theirs.

'19 Tigers in the first part of the season, Bama would have the edge.
'19 Tigers at the end of the season, Bama would get smoked.

The 2020 Heisman has to be the biggest asterisk ever

They should give it to Lawrence just for what he's done the last 3 years...because this year is bullshite.

I just can’t see Burrow losing against anyone last year
Legend has it that right after Joe Burrow was born, the doctor went to slap him to make him cry, but he side stepped him and threw his first TD pass

Our offense would absolutely shred Bama’s defense and Mac Jones isn’t beating Joe Burrow. It’s very simple.

Lol they gonna fo in 2020 what they couldn't do with Tua
?
?

LSU 19 Would rape 95 Nebraska up and down the field. It would be like what they did to UF in 95

but frick lsu is also on pace to take over 2001 Miami with nfl production from one single team as well
Hmmm... this is false but what the hell I’m an LSU fan ... so I agree
No it's not.
They're not there yet but in 5-10 years I guarantee there will be a solid argument on behalf of LSU.

None of these guys going to be Ed Reed... the WR’s going be awesome but I don’t know if any will be as good as Andre Johnson... Queen the real deal but will he be better than Vilma... CEH is nowhere near Clinton Portis...
Not to take nothing from us ... but we had nowhere near that kinda of talent... that 01 Miami team beats the 19 LSU team

Because the one that started those games played terrible. Tua hasn't won a championship while playing the full game.
Keep going though with this weird arse argument though

That poster is showing everyone that he is incapable of having an unbiased conversation. It's a fun discussion but this fool is acting like it's not even close.
Regardless, like others in here have said.. I think 2019 Bama was better than this years Bama team. Weren't they forced to start two true freshman LBs last year? A healthy 2019 Bama >>>> 2020 Bama.
In this hypothetical matchup I'm still taking 2019 LSU. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be nervous going into it but give me Burrow and co. 10 times out of 10.

Setting aside the LSU comparison, 2019 Bama was nowhere close to 2020 Bama due to both turnover and injuries.
By the time Bama kicked off they were down to TF at both ILB positions and had lost an All-SEC DE.
By the time they played LSU they were starting injured TF DL and only had a handful of experienced players in the rotation in the front 7. Add in Tua and his mid season injury and ultimate season ending injury and it just isn’t close. Other than the WR group they were outmatched everywhere but safety and that was iffy due to McKinney getting banged up late.
QB: 2020 due to injury and inexperience
RB: 2020
WR: 2019
OL: 2020
DL: 2020 big
LB: 2020
DB: 2020

Andre Johnson's rookie year: 119 tgts, 66 Rec, 976 yds, 4 tds
Andre Johnson's best season: 171 targets, 115 Rec, 1,575 yds, 8 tds
JJ's Rookie year so far: 103 targets, 73 Rec, 1,182 yards, 7 tds.
We obviously only have the 1 season for JJ to compare to AJ's 14 but with the info we have he's projecting up. Then you also have Chase and Marshall coming in next year. Chase is going to be the stud we think he is and I can easily see Marshall having an Anquan Boldin type career.

Not going to argue this because Ed Reed is Ed Reed. The LSU defense was obviously trash this year and with that, Stingley looked less than stellar. He's shown the potential to be a force at the next level though. I'm not going to say he'll be a HOFer because trying to predict that based off of a freshman's season is absurd, but he COULD be that guy.
quote:
Queen the real deal but will he be better than Vilma
Maybe not, if he gets better at pass defense, maybe though. It's all based off of potential for now and Queen has had a good rookie season so far.
quote:
. CEH is nowhere near Clinton Portis...
Portis is the sure thing here. I won't touch that one.
Now what about Burrow vrs Dorsey? That's a no contest. Then off the top of my head (I'm sure I'll forget some) you've got guys like Cush, Lewis, Chaisson that were starting as rookies. Not to forget about Fulton, Delpit, York, Stevens, Phillips, Shelvin, McMath and maybe a few more that could be solid in the league. Not all of them will pan out but if enough do the argument will make itself.
2001 Miami is still the GOAT roster as it stands. All I'm saying is that I won't be surprised one bit if '19 LSU takes that from them in ~10 years.
To stay consistent with this thread (kind of) the 2019 LSU/Bama matchup will have the same effect. Years down the road we'll look back and be amazed at the talent that was on the field. shite, just the WRs alone.. Chase, Smith, Jefferson, Waddle, Jeudy, Marshall and Ruggs. Oh and they had Burrow/Tua throwing to them. That's just insane

This is great considering the source...
LSU is asterisk U with a split title and a fluky two loss title

It'd be a damn good game. Probably the last team who would have the ball would win.
