I will be at this slaughter. How does last year's 4A Runner-up end up in a district with Lusher, McMain, and Ben Franklin?

oddly.. a 3a teams recent slide... and another 3a teams recent rise.... could have a big impact on seeding in D1

Captain Shreve takes down Byrd in OT on a blocked XP 22-21. Shreve 7-1 on the season. Have at least a share of the district title with one game to go. first district championship in 53 years

Carver, Livingston, and Kennedy are in that district as well.
I guess they wanted all of the East Bank schools in one district. They could have moved at least one over to District 10-4A though.

Ben Franklin doesn't compete in football in this district. Livingston isn't competing for district honors this year as this is their first year.

Jerry Byrd is certainly missed. I absolutely loved reading virtually any and all of his articles concerning Shreveport sports history. High school football in particular. But yeah, huge win for Shreve. And they could very easily be undefeated , having only lost by a point on the road at Scotlandville after committing 5 turnovers and missing several PATs. Another big game next week vs Airline to wrap up the district title for themselves.

That was John Curtis' home field until they joined the Catholic League. Can you imagine Jezzie or Martin fans and bands on that far sideline??
