Thomas is the most obvious dope case ever. Track rider to cobbled classics specialist to outclimbing everyone in the Tour

Such a fraud before our eyes

G has been targeting GC wins for a couple of years now. First one he has really put it all together for three weeks and not crashed or had some bad luck

I think Froome's race effectively ended on Stage 1 with that crash and the public backlash.

I doubt he'll face the boo's next year. Maybe he'll return to form then.

Froome's race ended when he decided to race the Giro

Why? Many of the GC contenders do the Giro and Vuelta. Dumo came in 2nd at the Giro and now he's second at the Tour. I would buy the fact that he's ridden too many tours and races over the past year, however. That's pretty rough.

He’s ridden 4 in a row which is far too much for a GC contender.

Only around 7or 8 people have done the giro-tour double. Peak Contador couldn’t do either, no shame in it at all.

Riding two tours is fine when the second is the Vuelta, nobody actually targets the Vuelta

He has ridden 4 GTs in a row plus the Giro-Tour is harder than the Tour-Vuelta. No one has done the Giro-Tour double since Pantani aka Mr. 60%

Dumoulin is the defending World Time Trial Champion, a mistake here, a mechanical there, who knows.

One day time trial is a lot different than a GT time trial

Anyone else hear that after the stage when the riders went back down the mountain to linkup with team transpo, that Froome was yanked off his bike by a cop? I guess the cop thought he was a spectator and just grabbed him and yanked him off the bike. I have no idea if he's injured.

Been a shitty tour for that guy.

Du moulin will take some time off him, but Thomas is a good time trialist. No way he makes up two minutes.
He'd have to shave off some time on Friday.

Yeah, I read he threw a windbreaker on to ride down the hill, and a policeman grabbed him and he fell off the bike. Sky says he's okay though.

Speaking of crashes, did anybody else see Sagan after the stage? Dude was ripped to shreds from a bad crash. Plans to race tomorrow though.

Also, there's supposedly a tweet from Griepel that is going around, talking about suspicious times for some people. I think it implies some riders were just hanging onto cars at the back, getting rest. But it seems he's deleted that tweet.

ETA So Michael Rasmussen has a quote of the tweet from Griepel:
"Over to Mr. @AndreGreipel :Maybe somebody should tell @GroupamaFDJ and @ArnaudDemare that there is GPS tracking in @LeTour. Chapeau to lose just 9min on a 17 km climb on @NairoQuinCo #notthefirsttime"
