Enjoyed the game well enough last night.
Obviously couldn't appreciate the details or the nuances with 0 hockey background but it was a fun watch.
Any of the 3 games expected to be head and shoulders over the others tonight?

Montreal beating the Rangers is the game you must watch.
It will have top 5 goalies
It will have some fisticuffs
It will have a dumbass behind the bad guys bench
NBC will make excuses for the Rangers during the game and after the game (unless it is Milbury) they will shame the Rangers.

Game 4s are always the most tense.
Rangers and San Jose can either tie it up 2-2 on home ice, or, go down 3-1 and face elimination on the road in game 5
So, mtl @ nyr at 6 pm CT should be a dandy

I guess the schedulemaker was left in the dark or something. Don't know why the series wasn't planned around the concerts. I guess the other cities arenas had the same events.

I stayed up until probably 3:00 Central when the Flyers and Penguins went to 5 OT back in 2000. I got back from the library late that night surprised the game was still going. I think I made it to class the next morning too.
Steve Levy that night "The game that would not end, just did!".

the 3OT Game Six in 1999 SCF between Dallas and Buffalo had me up pretty damn late
Hull beats Hasek to win the cup
49 saves by Belfour. 52 Saves by Hasek

we had a triple OT game in the 1997 playoffs against the devils in first round game 4. we won by a goal by brisebois. lost series in 5 though.

Could you have won another Stanley Cup if Roy and Tromblay could have gotten along?

hard to say. too many variables at play. ownership had issues. our new GM had issues. tremblay was an assclown greenhorn who never should have been hired. too many coaches cut their teeth at our expense over the years.

Matthews is gonna be great, but William Nylander has been the best player in this series. He's been everywhere. I wasn't thrilled by it, but I'm glad he got a goal for his efforts. He's been everywhere at once.
The Caps line in the top 10, the Eller line, has scored a combined 0 goals. Got to turn possession into points.

What do we think, do the Sharks get it to 2-2 or will it be the Edmonton show tonight?
Thought San Jose would be able to take it Sunday with Jumbo back, was surprised to see that L

The MTL fans on reddit say eller is great at holding pucks, but, never turns the chances into anything.
