I was simply pointing out that you were trying to say Letang and Johansen being out wasn't equal and the fact that johansen being out does matter more, considering how good the pens are.
You say the pens need letang more, yet they are up 2-0

I'll take the Preds having Johahsen for the Pens to have Letang allllll day.
Well you'd clearly lose your money. Assuming I read this right.

Not even close my dude, not even remotely close.

you're acting like the pens were doomed without letang. They are stacked, especially offensively.
The preds were barely a playoff team. Clearly missing johansen, arguably our most valued player these playoffs, would affect a fringe playoff team greatly.

And a lot of people thought they were, a LOT.
The Pens are nowhere near stacked defensively.
Ice time is a big big factor in a players value, Letang nearly averaged 30 minutes a game last postseason and should have won the Conn Smythe.

If you recall, I said offensively. They've scored, what, 9 goals on 2 games?

I'm not arguing he isn't a phenomenal player. I'm arguing that the pens are still better, on paper, because they are a great hockey team and defending champs.
You're trying to argue that the defending champs, up 2-0 in the Stanley cup, are still not as good as a fringe playoff team, because they are missing their best defended, completely disregarding the fact that they have arguably the best offensive unit in hockey, and undoubtedly the best hockey player on the planet.
The preds need johansen in this series, particularly when on the road. Disagreeing with this is just silly. It really is. Johansen is a fricking centre for frick's sake. You do understand the importance of that position? Especially for nashville. Our centermen are the driving force for this team, period

Let us all take a moment to laugh at Columbus for getting rid of Johanssen

This is not what I am saying at all.
I am saying talking about not having Johansen or injuries in general is weak sauce, the Pens are more injured and without their best defender and a top 3 or 4 defenseman in the whole league. If you give the Pens Letang they are coasting to another Cup easier than they already might without him.
Everyone is injured and banged up in the playoffs and you usually lose a good player, part of it.
The Pens are better offensively of course, but the Preds are better defensively and by a decent margin.
They are both incredibly valuable players.

Dude you are talking in circles at this point. Not even sure what you're trying to say besides "stop whining about johansen"
You realize the Stanley cup has started and the pens are up 2-0, right?
and have scored 9 goals in 2 games. You think they'd have, what, 20 goals?

Ryan Johansen made 1.5 million this year
Kris letang made 7.25m

I'm not doubting he's the better player. I'm saying the preds, a fringe playoff team, need johansen more right now. Johansen is the gritty player that got us here.

Exactly.
Still angers me he didn't get the Conn Smythe last year.

Letang is 30
Johansen is 24
And comparing salaries doesn't mean shite when discussing how individual players impact their team, especially in specific matchups

Letang is more valuable by a lot though, so it just adds to the point of his overall value as one of the best defenders in the NHL and the catalyst of an otherwise average at best D corps.
Most people agree Letang should have won the Conn Smythe last year, I don't know what else means more from an individual standpoint to his team than the Conn Smythe.

More valuable as a player, agree. More valuable to his team, debatable. Again, he's on a very good team. The best defense is a filthy fricking offense. Puck has to go in the net to win, and the pens do that well, even on just a few shots.
Not to mention they went 0-7 on power plays. I mean come on. They haven't skipped a beat. The preds need all they can get from their players and the pens can afford to lose the best defender in hockey.
And your argument is that one pens player should have won conn smythe over another pens player. Sort of exactly my point.

I bet they would have scored with the PP point man Kris Letang.

That's Karlsson. Dude is a monster even injured.

I'm not debating karlsson and letang. 1a 1b IMO
Point remains though..

Evgeni Malkin is the first player in 8 years to score a goal and get a fighting major in a SCF game.
The last player to do it? Malkin.
The last player to do it? Malkin.

Completely off topic--PKs behaviour in the Stanley Cup media day where he takes a reporters mic and proceeds to interview his teammates is why he is no longer a Hab
he's not reverential towards the traditional--a breath of fresh air--he's perfectly suited to a young upstart club like Nashville.
I'm wondering if the Preds lose game three and win game four?
