Pretty bad.
Pitts blue line has been outstanding. There just isnt any space

They're missing the traffic part.
Like you said (I think it was you), Pittsburgh won the neutral zone in this game. Nashville can't control the puck into the offensive zone and get real chances that way. Yes, they're throwing pucks at the net (like always), but there's nothing going on in front of the net. No screens, no rebound chances. They're never really set up.
All that being said, Nashville played a great first game. They can do it. I think it's discouraging to never really feel like the scoreboard is reflecting how well you're playing. They easily could have been up 2-0 tonight if that guy didn't blow the empty netter.

Preds gotta win two at Bridgestone now.
Yeah, but they were always gonna have to do that.
They are going to have to win all their homes games. Which is basically what they've done the last two years in the playoffs.

The Pens main advantage these first two games has just been keeping their composure. In game 1 Nashville didn't keep their composure after the disallowed goal. In game 2 they really lost their composure after Pittsburgh took the lead.

Def need Sissons to be way more active in front of murray. He had a nice redirect chance early.

It'll sound elementary, but the way for Nashville to win is to avalanche them early. Murray is playing great. You can't miss empty net chances like the one they had to go up 2-0. They need to capitalize early and get up 2-0, 3-0 in the first period of Game 3.
That'll give Rinne confidence. It'll give the whole team confidence. They've played from ahead the entire postseason. It's the way they know how to win, and it's probably the only way they're going to win against Pittsburgh.
if it's a tie game in the third period, it's advantage Penguins every single time.

Pitt is good and Nashville is injured. Not making excuses, because it's a physical sport. Hard to beat a team like that on the road when you're not at full strength. Missing Johansen is so fricking huge.

Blues fan, if I remember correctly?

Oh stfu with the injury excuse the Pens are more injured than the Preds are and Kris Letang >>>>>>>>> Johansen.

Missing Johansen sucks but it's not the reason they're losing.
Predators are still fine, IMO. The way to win this series was always to win all the games at Bridgestone, and steal one on the road.
They're not off schedule, yet.

Was a very fun series

I don't care about the comparisons. But the preds have relied on him and it's obvious we need him.
Also, Blues fan?

I agree but Pekka is out of sorts this series and games with that many power plays is not a good sign.

I don't care, stop bitching about not having Johansen while the Pens don't have one of the best defenders in the game and a guy that scored the game winning goal for the Cup last year while logging 30 minutes of ice time a game in the playoffs and finished 4th for the Norris.
Kris Letang is more vital to the Pens than Johansen is to the Preds, that would not be a trade off in favor of Nashville or even close.

The preds also don't have the best hockey player on the planet. It's not rocket science. im not solely blaming those losses on not having johansen, but to act like it's null and void is just dumb. He's been huge for us

You're both midwesterners, basically

Well no shite they don't have Crosby, 1 player doesn't make a team.

Okay? Didn't say he isn't, it's just hilarious to throw his name around while the Pens are without Letang. Instead the Pens are winning with a rather mediocre D corps that is without its catalyst.
I'll take the Preds having Johahsen for the Pens to have Letang allllll day.
