The Caps don't know what sweeping a team is.

LSucanfan and his boys are about to find out soon!

yeah 5 is most probable but i had to make one bold pick for fun and it was caps in 4. leafs will be lucky to make a series of it past 5. one lick of defense and goaltending won't cut it. They will need a few licks!

Went to the Oilers/Sharks game last night, been waiting for this game for 11 years.

Rogers place was like a hornets nest last night. The anthem was phenomenal.

LINK

Kind of does it justice but I haven't heard a crowd like that in a long time. Place went nuts when they realized the anthem singer was in the crowd.

Oilers looked great in the first but San Jose badly outplayed them in the second and third. Sharks' experience really came through I thought. Edmonton is going to have to learn how to play playoff hockey which isn't a bad thing. I'm thinking they rebound and win game 2 but this is going to be a very difficult team for Edmonton to beat.

The Caps have never swept a team in their history. I'd love it if it happened, but I'm not counting on it. And Unlucky is right, the Caps have a tendency to blow big leads this year, so I think they will blow a 2-3 goal lead against the Leafs at least once. They can score a ton.

I still can't believe the Blues won that game last night. They got dominated from start to finish, crazy.

The Wild and Oilers are the worst matchups for them (don't know much about the east). Both teams are big down the middle and fast on the wings.

IMO, the Oilers are fast down the middle and big on the left wing.

McMuffin ( 6"1 190) is the fastest skater in the league, and is flanked on the left by Lucic ( 6 foot 3 236) or Maroon ( 6 ft 3 227)

Eberle on the right, at 5"11 184, certainly has speed

All of their LWers are 6"3 200+ and none of their Cs beside Draisaitl are over 190

Fair enough. I should've just stated that those are the two teams in the west that bring both size and speed in their forward groups that the Blues don't match with well.

Nashville and Calgary seem to have speed but not size.

Ducks and Sharks have size but aren't fast.

Chicago is tough to peg. They have big players like Panik and Ansimov and speed with Kane and Schmaltz but I wouldn't say they are fast or big as a team. Kind of like the Blues I guess

The Flames and Ducks series should be a good one.

It amazes me how bad Mr Spaceley ruined the Flames though. But then again he destroyed the Blues, Flyers, and Hawks also.

If him and Vigneault would fight to the death, I would hope both lose.

I hope the Flames bury the Ducks. Brouwer is a good dude and I love watching Gaudreau play.

Also Corey Perry is a POS.

It's hard to have any warm feelings towards Brouwer. I do think he got overly criticized in DC during his time at the Caps, but holy balls was he awful in the postseason for the Caps. 35 games, 3 goals, 6 assists. 2 of those gaols came in his first year, so for the rest of his career: 21 games, 1 goal.

Then he scores 8 last year for the Blues. Go get bent, Troy.

He's a good guy though. Always pleasant in interviews and I know his teammates with the Blues loved him. Also good to the fans.

Also, Troy Brouwer was not the reason that the Caps didn't succeed in the playoffs He's a role player

Yeah, he's always been a good guy. And while he wasn't the singular reason the Caps lose in the postseason, he's part of the big reason: secondary scoring. Ovi is among the active leaders in postseason points per game, it's his teammates who forget how to score come playoff time. First it was Semin, then Brouwer, and now Kuzy.

we paid him $4.5 million for 13 goals and 12 assists this year.

His Grit/60 better be off the fricking charts tonight.

certainly a good person to have on the 4th line though. Not at that price, but, its not his fault we offered him that much.

Brouwer is also our biggest Forward at 6"3 213 lbs

Is an absolutely fricking awful player now. Watching him in the KHL playoffs is sad. He needs to retire.
