So how good is Nashville? Do they have any shot at winning this thing?

Stacked 1F line
Solid 2F line
Stacked blue line
Wall for a goaltender.

Sure, they have a great chance.

Considering the Caps must lose in the most painful way posssible, that means they will lose in the Cup finals on a goal scored by Filip Forsbreg.

So Nashville's chances are great. (Honestly, I love them, and have them in the Finals in my Cup Challenge bracket)

They're probably the favorite right now to come out of the West.

STL/Nashville is a really interesting series. Gun to the head I'd probably take Nashville in 7. The Blues really only have two dynamic offensive playmakers in Schwartz and Tarasenko.

Nashville has 3 and their D men transition the puck so well. They are quite undersized though which will be interesting.

That would suck for Caps fans, but can you imagine the melt that would happen in Montreal if Yahoo's NHL 17 simulation came true?

Why because they swept Chicago?

I think Anaheim is the favorite in the West now.

Vegas has Anaheim and Edmonton ahead of the Preds

I hope you burn in hell for that picture.

That was a very low blow.

Rinne has played better than Gibson. Preds are also more dynamic on offense than Ducks.

I actually think the Oilers beat the Ducks. We shall see.

Nashville had the least points of all playoff teams, right? Why do people have so much confidence in them now? Is it because they looked good against Chicago, or is there more to it than that?

It should be obvious I'm not very knowledgeable about the game.

Chicago didn't look good but to absolutely dismantle them the way they did was impressive.

They also have the best line currently left in the playoffs (could make an argument for the Malkin line) and a red hot goalie.

The Blues are better defensively than the Hawks but Nashville will get their goals.

Nope the Ducks are on fire and playing with a nasty streak. The smartest thing they did was split Getzlaf and Perry.

They just have too much offense for Edmonton and Kesler is going to shadow CMD and be such a bitch. I hate the Ducks, but when you watch them they look very, very good.

I'm not arguing the Ducks are a bad team. I think McDavid and co will give them a really tough series though. Lucic, Maroon and Drisietal (sp) can bang with Getzlaf, Kesler and Perry.

Talbot has to be solid but I think it's very winnable for Edmonton.

That being said. I'm going with these predictions:

Penguins in 6
Rangers in 5
Predators in 7
Oilers in 7

Lucic and Kesler are going to lock horns sometime and it will be enjoyable to watch the 2 biggest wannabe thugs in hockey hook up.

I would have loved to seen Probert, LaRaque, or Bertuzzi have some time with Lucic.

Lucic is 3 on my the list behind

Vigneault
Keenan

I would hope the Zamboni driver runs over Lucic and then backs up over him for the hell of it. Kreider I just hope someone tears his ACL and MCL.

I just re-read the deal that landed Forsberg. Wow. That is one of the all-time worst deals in NHL history.
