Another year, another Metro title.

This was a fun year because, well, the Caps aren't that great this year. The previous two season, they had the best team in hockey, ran away with the league early and sat on a massive lead. It lead to heartbreak in the postseason, but life sucks sometimes.

But this year? The Caps aren't nearly as deep, they can't play defense, and Holtby has been below average all year. It was a recipe for disaster, and instead this team found a way to win, night in and night out. It was a blast watching a team with low expectations win the toughest division in hockey again.

Will they lose in the postseason? Probably. They aren't that good. But if you can't enjoy a regular season this fun because you're worried about April and May, then you don't deserve fun things. Enjoy things as they happen.

Setting expectations low before the playoffs.

Solid strategy

Low expectations won't make the heart hurt any less. Still, its hard to ruin this year by saying, "Oh yeah? Y'all are still gonna lose in the playoffs." Yeah, no shite. We shouldn't have won the regular season.

This season has been fun, freed of expectations. There's been no pressure. There's no looking at the games as what it portends in the future, just enjoying the now.

Both Sedin twins are retiring at the end of the season.

I know the Metropolitan is normally good, but it’s nowhere near the toughest division this year.

You can't hurt any more if your team has already made you dead inside

Vancouver is going to be REALLY bad next year.

Dallas Stars officially eliminated from playoff contention.

I really would have liked for that Ducks/Avs game to avoid OT.

Hoping the Sens knock off the Jets tonight to wrap up the Central for the Preds...if not, we'll take care of it tomorrow against Florida.

Pens at +850 to win the cup is so tempting.

Huge night in the Metro tonight. The rule of thumb is to consider games in hand as a win for the pursuing team. Well, every team plays its game in hand tonight and will even up the Games Played at 80. The Flyers, Devils, and Jackets will all play a team eliminated from the playoffs as well. If they all win, which isn't crazy, then the three teams and the Penguins will all be separated by just one point total.

Could be a crazy finish down the stretch in the Battle to Not Get Sent to the Atlantic Division Playoffs.

Florida still has an outside shot as well.

If the blue jackets can get a win tonight, home against the pens will be huge to see who gets home ice in the 2 vs 3 matchup for the metro. Even then nothing will be locked up.

Crazy finish for sure in the metro.

the Lightning's late season collapse has been puzzling.

Winnipeg now has as many points as them. Same Last10 (4-6) as the Red Wings

blues have lost three straight

Jackets on the wrong side of 2 out of 3 scores aside from their own debacle.
