quote:yeah his serves are coming in very weak, but i like that the rest of his game is catching up to his pre-wimby form.
I never have faith in Tsonga against Djoker, but those 80 mph serves Nole is tossing in may give him a chance tonight.
the movement is there, the ball striking is back and the shot creativity and construction are nearly back.

Apparently, Pouille ran out of gas today and Monfils played really well. Stan and Delpo get the night match tomorrow after Serena and Halep. That is an awesome night.

Can Tsonga even take a set?
Posted on 9/6/16 at 6:03 pm to BayouBengals03
He better!! I had him making the semis but I didn't know Djoker would get 2 walkovers

Yeah, Pouille was toast today. Monfils looks great, but he's 0-12 against Djokovic in his career. Both players should be incredibly fresh unless Tsonga can pull something out here.

the third walkover/retirement for Djokovic this tourney

I have to wonder if this is to avoid embarassment, at least partly. Any of us would be glad to let Joker hammer us for 3 sets on tv, but it may not be the same for pros. It's a lot easier to accept your paycheck and save the time, effort, and shame.

I'm more excited for Stan and Delpo than any match in a long time. I guess because it's a matchup we haven't seen much of and I like both guys. Djokovic has had the most ridic luck draw ever with the retirements. And he is 12-0 against Monfils. Meanwhile, the other half is going to be a slugfest.

I hope we get to see atleast one set of each of them going full God Mode. Neither of them ever seem to be able to sustain it for a full match, but if we got one set of them in full cyborg mode that would be epic to watch.

damn, I'll say Murray is on FIRE.

If Murray and Djokovic make it to the final which I expect they will it should be one for the ages. Djokovic was looking really good against Tsonga.

Just exactly how many sets has Djoker played this tournament?
Posted on 9/7/16 at 2:26 pm to sms151t
Off the top of my head maybe 6. Got the dream path to the semis that's for sure. Still looked really good against Tsonga though.
Eta just checked 9.5
