Djokokic is 3/17 on break points. That's a Federer vs. Nadal-like conversion rate right there.

I haven't been able to watch but im assuming wawrinka played his one good tournament per year here and somehow tops djokovic again? Hate it for djokovic but wawrinka seems to be one of his only bad match ups lately.

believe me, I know. But, anyone who has played a lot of tennis knows it's part of the game. When I played competitively, I always brought bandaids and medical tape or something similar with me. wrap it up on the change over and move on... you don't need a medical professional to handle a blister.

not one of the announcers took Djoke's side on this one. He was stalling and it was pretty obvious. Everyone knows nothing kills your opponents momentum like an extended break. That's why a rain delay is a god-send if you are getting your arse kicked.

It's whatever though. I don't dislike djokovic, and he always seems humble when he speaks about his opponent, but he was trying to kill Stan's momentum, and it was pretty clear to everyone watching, including Stan (who is friends with Djoke)

What was so deplorable was that he was allowed to break the rules and get treatment before the changeover. John took him to task about it and blamed the judges for allowing it. He said no one stood up to him. That was not a medical emergency. He got to rest 6.5 minutes then and them 5 more minutes after Stan's serve and got a second treatment. The thing is that it looked bad for Stan but had The Joker pulled off that set he would not have been able to complete the 5th more than likely. Stan showed great poise in overcoming that distraction. Big win for him.

That was my problem with it. I don't think it's too bad to use the MTO for blisters to get rest on the changeover. But, doing it before Stan's serve was ridiculous. He was apologizing to Stan while it was going on, saying he could barely stand without the treatment.

Novak still played decent tennis in holding serve that set. I was worried he might steal it and then Stan could possibly break down. Stan said he emptied the tank, too. Stan and Novak apparently get along well, so if Stan wasn't upset, we shouldn't care.

That was my only issue as well. He was legitimately struggling.
