Trying to wrap by head around Carew for the AL. He was definitely one of the greats but the GOAT in the AL was Ted Williams. Should be the Ted Williams award.

Why wouldn't they make the AL batting title named the Ted Williams batting title? I mean ffs he's the best hitter of all time.

One would guess that because Cobb and Williams were considered pains in the arse so they named the two awards after nice guys. Not saying it's right but that's likely part of it.

Totally flew over my head until now that the AL was home team. I just assumed it was NL since it's in an NL park
