The committee hasn't done this yet.

Ohio State played like shite all season and there were other worthy teams that year

They went 12-1. Only two of their wins weren't by double digits. Doesn't seem like they played like shite all season to me.

Try again.

Last year, it was either Alabama or a 2 loss team (and one of those losses was by 30 to a 7-5 team).
Also, it's funny how winning your conference didn't matter in 2016 but then it mattered in 2017.

Or an undefeated team.

It did matter...both years. A conference championship is the only thing that kept 2016 Penn State and 2017 Ohio State in the discussion.

People like you said it didn't matter in 2016 though.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t MSU win the B1G in 2015 by beating an unbeaten Iowa? Went to the wire. Not sure how OSU could be in the CFP that year considering they list to MSU and had the same # of losses. Different scenario than last year.

Wrong. In fact, I said exactly the opposite. Multiple times.

The only hang up I have about OU getting the nod over OSU is that the committee said last night that how you win doesn’t matter, just that you win. But then Maryland and Nebraska come up as reasons to keep OSU out. Seems to be a double standard here.

I'd have more respect from the committee if they just came right out and admitted that it's whatever four teams they feel like putting in, and they'll use whatever criteria for each team that's necessary to make that happen.

That's what they're doing every year, whether they'll say that or not.

2017 Bama doesn’t get in the 2015 playoffs over unbeaten Clemson, 1 loss SEC Champ Bama, one loss B1G champ MSU, or 1 loss Big12 champ Oklahoma

2015 Ohio State gets in the 2017 playoffs (or at least is ranked ahead of 2017 Ohio State)

I watched a lot of that team. They didn't look the part early and they lost at home to Michigan State who was playing two backup QBs. They didn't start playing to their potential until the Michigan game.

I just used whatifsports.com to play this matchup. On a neutral field, 2017 Alabama beat 2015 OSU 41-21.

It's science.

UCF didn't bother to reschedule their hurricane game last year or this year. Both against p5 opponents. That hurt them

2016 Ohio State was deserving of a playoff spot. 2017 Alabama was not. Simple as that.

Meh. Can't really complain when A) you said winning your conference wasn't a big deal the year prior and B) you lose to a 7-5 team by 30.

Wrong.

When would they have rescheduled Georgia Tech? Their only open date was October 28th when GT was playing Clemson. They're not cancelling a conference game to reschedule an OOC opponent. This year, their only open date was October 27th, when UNC was playing Virginia.

So, what should they have done?

Should've played a 5-6 GT team after the AAC title game. Navy did it.
