the Mavs should make him shoot underhanded FTs.

as for the Clips, it's all doom and gloom, but some bigs will become available via trade.

Hibbert
Kufos
Miles Plumlee or John Henson

they can bottom barrel for someone like
Javale McGee.

Or they can look for guy who isn't really a starter minutes wise, and play small ball with Griffin at the 5.

Will Mathews be ready for the start of the season?

prob not, Achilles are tough and sometimes career ending. He doesn't really scare me, esp on defense going forward

A pairing of a steadier presence like Hibbert with an athlete like Plumlee or Henson could be beneficial.

As of now, I think it is:

Devin Harris
Wes Matthews
Chandler Parsons
Dirk Nowitzki
DeAndre Jordan

Raymond Felton (hoping they dump his 3+ million $ contract)
Justin Anderson (rookie looks to be pretty good...good defensively)
Dwight Powell

That's all they have signed.

Still could go after:

JJ Barea
Charlie Villanueva
Richard Jefferson

and whatever else Free Agent leftovers they can find.

Best bet is probably to sign and trade Chandler to Phoenix to fill out some bench players, then maybe dump Felton and work with that.

At this point, Dirk is a complete liability defensively. I've never seen a player more exposed than he was in the Houston-Dallas series.

And even his offense is starting to drop off. Mavs won't have the chance to be a real threat until Dirk retires.

Dirk has this upcoming year and next year left on his contract. He will retire then, right in time for the big cap increase. Dallas will have his contract space available to go after a couple big free agents, while having a very good center and forward already under contract.

If Dallas can manage their next two years correctly (I don't expect them to win a championship, but Parsons and Jordan need to have good years) they have a chance to make big moves in two years.

He's ahead of his rehab schedule but they say that about every athlete. I think he will be but it will give Anderson the chance to gain some experience

The local guy I listen to here broke down the amount of minutes rookies played for WC playoff teams last week.

In summation, rookies don't play for WC playoff teams.

I'm still convinced Popovich throws on some make-up and a shitty hoodie and becomes Bill Belichick during the NFL season.

I meant more at the beginning of the season in case Matthews isn't full go.

Second, as of now, have you seen our bench? We may have to break that mold

Third, don't be mad the Mavs took your boy
