That team is good enough to compete, but still not close to being able to actually win a title, IMO.

Aldridge shouldn't go there.

Oh I didn't think anyone would even joke about wanting Kobe Bryant to be their coach.

How is Aldridge in play with Miami?

Sign and trade, but for who?

hes lost 20 pounds to make himself more quick

its been no secret weve been hoping to move him to the wing so he can initiate his offense on the perimeter

I'm a laker fan and I have to say this is the offseason that will bring the dark ages for a while in lakerland.

They had such a foul proof rebuild plan ti's inconceivable how they messed it up. Randle might not ever be an all star but he's a very solid PF building block.

They have Clarkson who is servicable and they had the number 2 pick in the draft.

All they had to do was Draft Oakfor, bide their time, and snag a free agent next year like Durant or westbrook next year in 2016, give another 1-2 years for oakfor/ randle to come around and they would have been right back in it for real

they aren't getting aldridge, they aren't getting jordan and even if they do, it handicaps what they can do next year with the real free agents hit the market.

when shaq went to the lakers they had some peices. they had eddie jones, they just drafted kobe, Credic Cabollos, robert horry, nick van exel. that was a pretty good situtation to walk into.

how? we are getting julius randle back and are putting in d'angelo russell. sure if we strikeout this FA then we will suck again this year, but its far from a dark ages type situation

i would agree that an all rookie first teamer who was one of the most productive guards in the league once he became a full time starter is servicable

what? we are getting kobes contract off the books next summer combined with the exploding cap

how is that any different to what we are doing right now?

I agree with everything you said except this....

Nobody truly believes this is Kobe's last year, and no ody believes they will just let him walk. If he asks for the max, which he will, Kup and co. will gladly sign up.

i would personally be surprised if kobe gets another contract like the one he just got

IF Kobe plays past 2016 and asks for an absurd contract from the Lakers, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he wound up in NY with PJax, Fisher and Carnello.

The only tier 1 free agent next year is Durant.

I'd say 31 year old Noah might be the next best FA.

2017 is loaded though. Westbrook, Ibaka, Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Steph Curry...
