We all know the trophy now goes to the supposed best offensive player on the supposed best team before the season has even finished.

The award would mean much more to most people if it was voted on after completion of the entire season and defensive players were seriously considered. It means very little to me anymore.

Didn't the show use to be 1hr long?
Paul Hornung got a message in class at ND to go to the SID's office. He went there and was put on the phone with a guy from the DAC who told him he'd won. Hornung thanked him and hung up.

That was the show.

Clearly you are an idiot if you think Alabama is anywhere near Stanford academically.

What the hell does school's academics have to do with character and the heisman?

well thats kind of stupid.

i dont know either of the guys on stage but i see nothing that tells me mccaffery is of any more upstanding character than henry.

im sure they are really different but i dont think henry had any off the field issues.

Just because mccaffery chose stanford doesnt mean hes morally higher than henry.

Yeah because it's only LSU fans who don't think Henry should be gifted the Heisman.

Well there is the whole aspect of being a student athlete. Managing the course work at Stanford while being high character and putting of solid stats is a lot more impressive than being high character and good at Bama.

Pretty simple.

Breaks Herschel Walker's SEC rushing record = getting gifted a Heisman

So by your own logic (not the award's actual criteria) only players from prestigious universities should win the Heisman. Stupid argument. I don't have much of issue if CM wins it but if he wins it it will be becuase they thought he was better not because he went to better school.

When he isn't the best player in college football? Yes.
