They're wildly popular, and have a big stadium.

The Bundesliga is arguably the best run soccer league, and La Liga has huge disparities between Real/Barca and everyone else because of TV revenues not being shared will all the clubs in La Liga.

Also played in the Championship last season where I doubt they filled that St. James Park considering the quality of competition. I am just surprised they made the list of TOP 20.

Valencia has to be close to cracking it though.

Kind of like Liverpool and Man U.
Oh well, I really don't follow La Liga at all other than glance at the table every now and then. Valencia just sticks in my head because of their success under Rafa.

they are successful, they just don't have money. until they sell they davids this summer. then they'll have the money and hopefully will still be successful

madrid (not going to happen) and epl (not sure which teams). everyone knows when a soccer player is "improving his english" it means he wants to go to england

Not really. Spain is a two team league. Any economists out there that can explain how a team 700 million pounds in debt is the richest club in the world?
