Watched this live and I was 17 when it happened. Yea I’m getting old.
My whole family was screaming like we were watching LSU!
Easily the greatest Olympic moment I’ve ever witnessed!
In terms of non lsu/saints moments it’s right up there watching Tiger win the 19 masters and American Pharoah win the triple crown.

I was a freshman starting at LSU, at some goofy Tiger Stripes orientation camp. Was great to get to watch it with a whole group of others just going crazy.

This one kind of gets lost in the mix since most poeple don't pay attention to the 1500, but Cole Hocker winning Gold last year was unreal. He had mostly been a middle of the pack runner and the runners from Great Britain and Norway had been trading world records the last couple years going into the Olympic made it wild as well. Add to it, he was in the middle of the pack when the last lap started and got squeezed out of position on the final 100, the win was unreal. I ran track waaaay back in the day and this nearly brought tears to my eyes because it was so awesome and unlikely.
