Why does Azinger keep saying they “should” or “might” make the cut at +3.

That’s in

Not betting on it but if I were playing I'd basically disregard Harman and say stay within 2 of Fleetwood at the end of Saturday and you're right in it - don't think Harman can do it - Fleetwood can but doesn't seem like a guy who will drop a 65 so I'd make 2-3 shots of him my target for tomorrow night

eta - mainly considering spieth and rory here

No doubt.

I didn’t even consider weather, as it’s been fantastic.

He stick it tight on 18? Eagled it. Coverage cut off and he was on 18 so I didn't see it. Checking online to see what happens to Rickie and Bryson.

Stuck it to a foot for eagle.

Also, remarkably there are 24 people T10 or better right now, which seems weird to say

Used to enjoy NBCs coverage but it sucks now. Would prefer if SVP and ESPN had the Open the first two days like the PGA

Azinger is the worst announcer in all major sports and that included Marc Jackson in the NBA

Brian Harmon has more career wins than Tommy Fleetwood.

You’re out of your mind if you disregard Brian Harman. I’ve played a lot of golf with him as we’re both from Savannah GA, plus he played at the club where I worked. Kid’s been a stick since he was 13. Links golf suits his game very well since you can’t overpower the golf course. He may not win, but he’ll be in it until late Sunday evening.

Yeah Brian looked very in control today. Only time he got in trouble, he holed a chip for par.

Seems like a very solid, in control player, that putts the shite out of the ball.

I think he is 30 for 33 on putts inside of 15 ft this week.

Imagine what Scheffler or Rory is inside of 15 feet right now. Lol

He seems like a very nice guy, and I’m sure when you play with him it’s impressive. But there is a reason he only has 2 wins on tour in 14 years, and only one top 5 ever in a a Major….The odds say he will regress to the mean this week. Maybe he won’t and that will be great, but the odds are against it based on his history of play

Harman has the most Top 10 finishes in Tour events over the last 2 or 3 seasons. Has he won enough? He’d tell you no. He’ll tell you he should have won at Erin Hills when he slept on the lead Friday and Saturday night.

As far as being impressed by him, not really. Some background on me- I was a mini tour player and club professional for over a decade, including qualifying for a US Open. I’ve played a lot of golf with a lot of Tour players; I’m not easily impressed.

Don’t disagree but he’s due for some regression. He’s gaining 4.2 strokes with the putter. For context, Cam Smith gained 2.8 last year during his win.

What happens if the putter goes cold tomorrow?
